Mr. [redacted]'s order was processed on June 04, 2014. The customer speaks with two different people when the sale is processed. The sales person initiates the phone call, a supervisor then confirms the order and verifiers the contract on...

During the conversation with all of our customers; we give out our toll-free number twice, with the verifier requesting that the customer write the number for their personal records. It is also explained to the customer during the conversation that their initial payment is non-refundable.
The customer is given 7 business days from the date of their initial payment to call in to cancel their order. In the event of a phone cancellation; the customer is provided a cancellation letter that we mail out to the customer. The customer then needs to sign, date and return the cancellation letter for our records.
On the reverse side of the guarantee letter sent to the customer is the Federal Disclosure Letter. The cancellation policy is explained and allows the customer 7 business days to send a written cancellation. Our toll-free number is also included in the guarantee letter.
If after 7 business days there has been no communication from the customer either via mail or our toll-free phone number; the order is then considered valid, and all magazines are purchased by our company for the consumer, and pre-paid for the entire five years of service. Consumers do have the option to change their magazines as often as they would like during their service, free of charge.
Mr. Harris did contact our office on July 06, 2015 wanting to cancel his account. Although Mr. [redacted]'s did not contact our office concerning the charges to his account within the allotted time to cancel his account, we have cancelled Mr. Harris's account at this time. Mr. [redacted]'s will receive no further billings or communications from our office in the future.

Although they never provided the magazines I asked for, but instead sent 5 others that we do not want, I am satisfied in cancelling with no additional billings. 7 days does not allow any validation of which magazines are being delivered. The recorded message of the contract only states that "My Magazines" will be delivered for 5 years. No where in the phone calls from the two people did they mention which magazines would be provided.

General Subscription Services has reviewed the complaint and we regretfully inform Mrs. [redacted] that we have no account(s) associated with her name, address, or telephone number here with our company. We urge Mrs. [redacted] to check her bank statements, account paperwork, and her magazine subscriptions...

to verify she is indebted to General Subscription Services. If Mrs. [redacted] can confirm it is General Subscription Services to whom she has an issue we would appreciate if she could please contact our office at our toll-free number and we will be happy to help her.
