The tenant final close-out was mailed to the tenant on January 11th, 2018 detailing why $85.00 was withheld from her $300.00 security deposit. an inspection indicating these were acceptable at move in. As pictures clearly show the cleaning that was needed was well above what would be considered normal wear and tear. Our cleaner spent two hours cleaning the oven and two hours cleaning the tub/faucet. Typically, it takes 45 minutes to clean all these items. There was no sign of mold in the unit at move out. I spoke to the tenant on 1/18/18 and twice on 1/19/18 to explain these charges to her. When speaking with her she agreed that the tub and oven could have been cleaned better.

I am rejecting this response because:I disagree with Center Management's complaint of the damaged blinds.  The closeout checklist that was provided states that (2) blinds were damaged.  However, in her statement it mentioned that (3) were damaged.  While I appreciate the pictures being provided, I do not believe that the bent blinds were anymore than normal wear and tear after 5 years of living there.  I have attached 4 years of inspection reports with nothing being noted about the blind damage.While I did indeed agree that the tub and oven could have been cleaned better, that was not included in my dispute.  I was charged $15.00 for "tub surroundings" which was where the mold was.  Unfortunately, pictures were not provided of the surroundings with the mold.  I have attached a work order where we had asked for the mold to be corrected.  Instead it was painted over and the mold soon returned.In closing, I'd like it to be known that this is not about the $50.00 that I am asking for.  I would simply like Center Management to realize that they cannot charge tenants for minor wear and tear over a 5 year period.  I do believe that they were upset with me for complaining about the bat infestation problem and that this may be retaliation for repeated calls to remove bats (dead and alive) from my apartment.Thank you for your time.
