Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The previous mechanic that had checked my car knew that the problem was not as big as [redacted] has claimed [redacted] spent weeks with my car before I contacted the Revdex.comYes, I told him to take his time but I didn't think it would take monthsI did my research and found out the prices of parts he replaced and they were fifty dollars not two hundredI also visited vistas junk yard and there are car there that he "fixed" and the motor blew upI am afraid of my family's safety when [redacted] claim that he had done all of this on purposeAn act of revenge because of some money my son owed himI have also been borrowing a friends car who has been charging me monthly letting me use itI do not trust [redacted] and fear that he tampered with my car Regards, [redacted]

This is a formal response to the letters we have received by Mr. [redacted]. We have reviewed the facts as stated in the letter by Mr. [redacted] and there seems to be holes in the story. The vehicle originally came in on 01/19/17 with various complaints, they go as follows: Customer states that the...

vehicle is leaking water and that the vehicle is overheating. Check and advise. Customer states that the needles on the instrument cluster vibrated after he jumped the vehicle. Check and advise. Customer states that the A/C system will not turn off. Customer states that engine is running very rough. Check and advised. Customer verbally informed us that the vehicle has been to other shops and that they were unable to fix the vehicle. Also, due to his being on disabled, on dialysis, and having a fixed income, that he was limited on funds, therefore we could keep the vehicle as long as we needed it. He also requested that we use used parts to resolve issues if need be. We informed the customer that we would do our best to accommodate his needs, as we understand his unfortunate situation. We looked over the vehicle and could not duplicate the water leak, but we did find that the engine was running rough, that the climate control system would not turn off, and based on his description of the vehicle randomly acting erratically, we determined that there is a module that is known to fail causing various symptoms. We advised the customer that the vehicle needed a new module, but he stated that he could not afford a new one. We attempted to locate a used module at the various sources we have. The wrecking yards and used parts places informed us that they would be on the lookout for the module that we requested. The module needed to have the serial numbers match, which is why we were unable to find one.The vehicle sat for that extended period of time because we were waiting on a response from them. We also found that the climate control module needed a replacement.  As for the rough running concern, we found that the oil was seeping into the spark plug holes and it damaged the coil boots, spark plugs, and one coil. We provided estimate to the customer, and waited for a response. When we informed the customer that a new module would be the only option, he declined and came to pick his vehicle up, free of charge. He later returned to see if we could at least fix the A/C being on all the time because he found it "very annoying." We agreed. Around that time, roughly the beginning of March, we received a letter from the Revdex.com stating that the received a formal complaint. Not knowing who complained, we dialed the cr provided, and found that it was it was Mr. [redacted]. We asked him for the reason for the complaint, because to our understanding, we had an agreement since the vehicle for got to the shop. His response was very apologetic, stating that it was his wife that filed the complaint, and that he did not have anything to do with it. During the conversation, we asked Mr. [redacted] politely if he could please pick his vehicle up, again, free of charge, as we did not want any further problems. He pleaded with us to fix his vehicle. We finally agreed, under the condition that the he let us perform the repair the right way, using OEM parts from the dealer, that we'd start with the rough running issue and later proceed with the rest of the complaints, and that he would pay the amount of $741.81 we provided him with for such engine repairs. He agreed to the terms on 03/23/17 at 12:21 pm during that phone conversation. We performed the rough running repair, found a module for the climate control, and informed him that the vehicle was ready 3/24/17. He said that he would be in to pick up the vehicle the following day. The next afternoon, upon closing, we called him again to remind him, and we received the same response. We called a total of 3 times and he finally showed up to pick up the vehicle. We showed him that the vehicle was now running to manufacturer spec, and he seemed satisfied. When we gave him the final invoice. He stated that he only had $200. He asked if he could take the vehicle, that he would leave the $200 as a deposit, and that he would comeback when he received his taxes to settle the debt. We informed him that we could not do that, but what we could take the deposit and wait for him to come back with the rest of the money and only then would the vehicle be released. At that point, Mr. [redacted]'s demeanor drastically changed. He said that he never approved any repairs, and that he demanded his vehicle. We informed Mr. [redacted] that we had the documentation showing that he did approve, and that we could still not hand over the vehicle. He left without saying anything. A few days later we called Mr. [redacted] and asked him for a date for when he was going to pick his vehicle up, and he responded in a threatening manner that he was not going to pick his vehicle up, and that he was going to come and shut the shop down. The reason for this response is because we received a second letter from the Revdex.com, stating that the complaint was not resolved. We were under the impression that since we had contacted Mr. [redacted] in the beginning, that the complaint was resolved. We have all the documentation that stated that all work was approved. All we ask is that he pay his remaining balance, and that he take his vehicle. We do have a storage fee of $55 per day that will come into effect starting on 3/29/17 ( for a total of $1,925 as of 5/4/17) if the customer neglects to at least provide a date to when he will come to take delivery of his vehicle. We will waive the storage fee if we receive such response. If the customer does not come on date provided, the fee will apply. We are open 8am to 6pm Monday through Saturday. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The previous mechanic that had checked my car knew that the problem was not as big as [redacted] has claimed. [redacted] spent weeks with my car before I contacted the Revdex.com. Yes, I told him to take his time but I didn't think it would take months. I did my research and found out the prices of parts he replaced and they were fifty dollars not two hundred. I also visited vistas junk yard and there are car there that he "fixed" and the motor blew up. I am afraid of my family's safety when [redacted] claim that he had done all of this on purpose. An act of revenge because of some money my son owed him. I have also been borrowing a friends car who has been charging me monthly letting me use it. I do not trust [redacted] and fear that he tampered with my car.
Regards,
[redacted]
