On 01/03/I called Genesis RVI told him that I had discovered that the slideout on my Denali travel trailer had a 1" gap at the top right corner and continuing down the slide outThe front side was flush against the rvI specifically asked if they could adjust the slide so it sat flush against the unitI was told no problem bring it inMade arrangements and dropped off the rv on 01/@ 8:30am* *e begin by saying they would run some pressure test on the lines and I told him that was not an issue the lines were find (which I have proof of)I again stated I only wanted the slide adjusted so it sat flush against the rv* *e said ok, they would take a look at it and also do a water testRv was to be ready on 01/Didn't hear from them so called on 01/08* *e said they could not find a leak, I asked if they adjusted the slide out and he said no, the solution was to put awning over it at a cost of $Very upset I picked the unit up that eveningThey charged me $to s

I BROUGHT MY HORSE TRAILER TO *** FOR POSSIBLE REPAIRS I WAS NOT GIVEN ANY ESTIMATE FOR REPAIRS I TOLD THEM OVER THE PHONE AND IN PERSON I WANTED:
1) DRILL OUT TWO BOLTS THAT WERE BROKEN
2) FIND OUT WHY MY BRAKES LOCK UP
I WAS THEN TOLD HOURS LATER I HAD TO PULL OUT ALL OF MY HORSE TACK IN THE TRAILER OR BE CHARGED $TO TAKE IT OUT I DROVE OUT AND UNLOADED THE TACK INTO MY CAR I SPENT OVER HOURS IN DRIVING TIME TO DO THIS; I WAS NOT ABOUT TO PAY SOMEONE $FOR A MINUTE JOB
I NOTICED IMMEDIATELY THE BOLTS HAD BEEN DRILLED OUT AND MY JACK WAS MISSING THEY HAD PREVIOUSLY ASKED IF I WANTED THEM TO REPLACE JACK AND I TOLD THEM "NO" I KNOW IT IS AN ISSUE OF PUTTING IT IN AND TIGHTENING BOLTS WHICH I CAN DO IN LESS THAN MINUTES I AM UPSET THAT THEY ARE CHARGING ME $WHICH THEY CERTAINLY COULD HAVE GIVEN ME AS AN ESTIMATE TO REMOVE THESE TWO BROKEN BOLTS BEFORE DOING THE WORK

Genesis continues to be the best automotive service in the surrounding area I'm preparing for a last minute lengthy road trip to Utah Genesis scheduled and repaired my Honda for a much needed brake repair and a safety check Thank you Genesis for giving my confidence back in my car!

I have both a Class A and van conversion that I get service work done through GenesisI was happy to finally get out of warranty with the dealership so that I can have work done through GenesisRecently I have a Mercedes van conversion that they have been helping me upgrade and they are the most pleasant and professional staff to work with and demonstrate a very conscientious work and customer ethicThey help you find alternative solutions along with offering reasonable changesResponses to phone calls and estimates are prompt and the technical staff is so knowledgeable and honestI wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends

I met one of the Genesis representatives at one of the Tacoma area sportsman shows and he told me his company fixed Onan Generators for RVsHis comment was that they "Do It All"I told him that I had a GMC Midas RV with a 4KW Onan generator that needed repairHe repeated that they {Genesis] do it all so make an appointment and bring it in I brought it in and even though I had information on the history of previous maintenance and repairs Brian said they needed to do a diagnostic of their ownThat was okay with me as I felt I was in the good hands of a professional RV repair facilityAt the end of the day Brian handed me a bill for $and read a long list of issues and some assumptions on the condition of the genset but no plan on how to fix itBrian told me that he could not get parts, or he didn't know of availability of OEM components for the Onan GensetAll the information on the age of this unit was available before even looking at it

Complaint #*** I have read and reread the complaint and rejection produced by Mr* ***Genesis provides a one-year warranty for its services and repairsMr* *** did not give Genesis the chance to confirm or disprove that we did cure his leakAs he states in his letter the invoice clearly states that the floor was wetWe also state that we conditioned the seals and confirmed proper operationWhat this statement does NOT specifically say is that when a swipe seal does not properly flip it cannot do its intended job and divert water away from the interiorWe in effect caused a repair by making this work properly and as stated in our repair order we confirmed there were no further leaksMr* *** signed and received a final invoice, which clearly states our warranty I do not want to get into how many RV’s do or do not come with slide toppers, yet I assure you one of their purposes is to deflect waterMost high-end products come from the factory with them already mountedMore entry level RV’s typically have the slide topper trailer side mount so that the RV owner can make that choice to keep internal costs down In response to the customers statement “Genesis does not have the expertise” It is unfortunate that by our only doing repairs that we deem necessary to solve problems is considered a lack of expertiseGenesis has RVDA certified technicians and when there is a slide room repair or adjustment that is necessary, even if this requires removing and rebuilding slide rooms we do have the expertise and know what we are doing I do not feel that Genesis did anything improperI also find it interesting that this customer has brandished his “I will go to social media” as a statementI do not want this situation to go that way and am willing to continue to review this situation further once I have the opportunity to review the completed invoice from the current repair shopAs stated earlier each customer receives warranties for our services, parts etcBecause we were not first given the opportunity to see what this complaint entails and show him personally our reasons for the services we performed I have to respectfully ask to review the invoice to see what was done that we did not doThank you, Brian H H***

My foot motor home suffered a catastrophic event due to improperly wired batteries done by a different company As a result, it had to be towed, on an emergency basis to Genesis, arriving after closing time Genesis accepted it despite the fact they were full
Bryan called me after the weekend to tell me what they had found and discuss what needed to be done They proceeded and found the inverter had been destroyed and gave me the choice of sending it back to the maker to attempt a fix which was not guaranteed, or replacing it I chose to replace itGenesis obtained the part in about days and installed it, checked all the electrical components, ran them all for a couple hours to be sure the fix had been successful I was able to pick up my RV in time for its next trip Bryan also prepared photos and written information, and spoke to the manager of the company that caused the problem, and continues to work with them to help me get reimbursement for the several thousand dollar repair required Genesis went above and beyond and kept me in the loop the whole way Three cheers and stars for Genesis!

I am rejecting this response because: When I dropped off the trailer there was no mention of not adjusting the slide out. Adjusting the slide out was the reason the trailer was brought in. I was told they would check for leaks and 'get it done'.  Had I been told that...

slide out adjustments are not recommended when I made the initial call I would not have taken the trailer there. The trailer leaks at the slide out, on the invoice it clearly states "confirmed floor is wet upon initial inspection" and yet when I picked the coach up I was told they could not find a leak. There solution is to put an awning on the coach at a cost of $1,500 (including the initial $300 estimate). When I spoke to [redacted] he prior to picking up the trailer he said that is why most rv's come with awnings over the slide outs. That is a complete fabrication. 95% of new RV's do not come with awnings over the slide outs. Take a trip to the rv show this weekend and see how many new units have awnings over the slide outs if you want proof. Putting an awning over the slide out will not and does not repair the leak. It's like putting a bucket under a leaking roof. The floor might not get wet but the roof still leaks! Genesis could not find the leak, did nothing to repair the leak, and would not perform the work that I had requested. I would like to emphasize that when I picked up the unit the exact words from [redacted] "we do not like to adjust slide-outs, if they are not adjusted correctly it can mess up the teeth and then you have real problems". This statement confirms that Genesis does not have the expertise in this area to correct a problem.  I did agree for him to check for water leaks after I dropped off the unit but when I made the first contact by phone had he been upfront and told me they don't like to adjust slide outs I would never have taken the trailer to Genesis.  Because of this I am still requesting a refund to my credit card.  I would like to point out that I have my trailer in a shop right now. The inspection for leaks is no charge, a full length awning installed is $547, and if the slide out needs adjustment it will be $90 - $120.  If Genesis refunds my money I will drop this. If not I will continue to let other potential customers know about problem.

I am rejecting this response because:  I want to point out three things and then I am done. First, when I called Genesis RV it was with a very specific question, " do you adjust slide outs"? There answer, "Yes, we do bring it in and we will take care of it".  Second. When leaving Genesis and complaining that the slide out had not been adjusted even though there was a full inch difference from the front to the back I was told, "We don't like to adjust slide outs, if you start messing with adjusting you can throw the teeth out of alignment and then you have real problems".  That last statement alone proves there was no intent to adjust my slide in the first place.Third, and lastly, the Denali trailer is an 'upscale' trailer and not an entry lever trailer. The statement that most trailers come with toppers or are rigged for them is completely and utterly false. My visit to the Tacoma Dome RV show was proof of that. Less than 10% of the RV's there came with or were prepped for toppers.One thing to the owner, I've been in business for twenty nine years so I don't take to 'social media' lightly. On a scale of 1-10 I will not complain or compliment a business if they fall between a 2-9. Only the very best or the very worst will get a review from me. On my initial call, if your manager had  simply said no, we don't like to adjust slide outs,  then when I asked very specifically if you adjust slide outs I never would have brought the RV to you in the first place.I don't need any additional response, it is obvious that this is going no where. Please close this file.
