Do not trust Genesis custom works for any type of work to do on your vehiclehe will give you a bed and then will not answer any type of messages after you drop off the vehicleI asked him how long it would be to put a transmission in a Suburban for my sister-in-law who has a three-year-old daughter and she needs the truck for her daughterHe told me it would be days to get it repaired and gave me a repair estimateI dropped the vehicle off this past Monday after trying to contact him all day long desperate to have someplace to fix the vehicleAfter trying to contact the owner, [redacted] all week, I did not get any type of responsehe did send me a note telling me that he needed me to sign an authorization to work on the vehicle but when I offered to drive to his place of work to sign it, his reply was I am not thereI never was able to sign the note and try checking in with him all week long in order to get it signed and get the work doneFinally, on Friday, I got in contact

The owner of the company was very helpful with issues I was having with my EscaladeI needed a front differential and got it at a great price with installationI will be coming back in the future and be referring my family and friends

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: First and foremost, they leave out the part where they told me to pull the engine and return it for an exchangeI have this in email and I was told this on the phone In the process of removing the engine I found the problem(I should say a problem, not the problem, because there is more.) The initial problem did seem trivial so I asked for the parts because I was going to install them myself and they still wanted me to exchange itI will repeat, after knowing that the engine was missing pushrods and rockers they still wanted me to pull this engine and exchange itThis is 100% the truth and I have the email proving itAs far as I am concerned that should be the end of it, but eventually another person starting emailing me pretending to be the person I had been dealing withThis other person was relentless in trying to back out of the exchange without actually saying there would be no exchangeIt became obvious they were just stringing me alongThis person also called me on the phone and was very angry and rudeThe engine is still not functional and it does have problems which I can demonstrateI haven't gotten into detail with them regarding the full extent of the problems before because I know they are going to try and blame these things on me, despite the items having never left my garage, and they already agreed to an exchange weeks agoJust look at their other complaints, they constantly make up stories and spin to avoid having to fix anythingI have better things to do than buy engines from people and install them and then hope there are problems so that I can make up reviews and cover my tracksOr whatever nonsense they are saying As far as my address, I have been a victim of identity theft and credit card fraud in the past so I do guard my online information, the fact that they looked it up is somewhat troublingAlso they are breaking the rules posting my information here, but that is no surprise Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:There's really only two possibilities at this point:1) They don't have another perfectly good engine to exchange for this perfectly good engine.2) They know it's not a perfectly good engine.I never "volunteered" to pull anythingYes, I asked for an exchange that's kind of how the customer return/exchange process worksThey agreed to it, and even insisted on it after I wasn't sure.I am positive that a third party who looked at the entirety of the emails would agree that they agreed to exchange the motor and then renegedThat's why we are hereI can't help that some people feel harassed when asked to live up to their word, or when a negative opinion is expressedMaybe we could use this process to help form a better opinion? Here are some highlights of the email exchange:We can swap the whole long block.Block with heads and oil pan.*** **President Genesis Custom Works *** *** *** *I asked if I should pull it: Yes, this is a rare situation*** **President Genesis Custom Works *** *** *** *Just days ago:We will swap the engines and squash any misunderstanding. *** **President Genesis Custom Works *** *** *** *

I put an offer on an engine/transmission on eBayI was contacted outside of eBay and offered the item at a reduced priceI should have known better, but I went ahead and ended up purchasing
After difficulty getting it started, and long story short, I discovered the engine was missing parts(Rocker arms, and pushrodsThey say they remove these to scope the engine, but everyone else just looks through the spark plug hole, so I have no idea what they are doing.)
I was told it was a "rare situation" and to return engine for exchangeI actually didn't want to because of the extra work, but they insistedThen after hours of labor on my part I was told they wanted to supply the missing parts because they just forgot to put them back in after the inspection(Which is almost comical.)
As part of the removal process, I found more problems with the engine and demanded an exchangeI was told ok, but then many emails followed about how the other engine was dirty, mine is perfect

The engine was sent out with warranty and customer advised that he received an engine that had problems with it. He had notified me that he had already taken it to a machine shop to get checked. Even after violating the terms of the invoice that clearly state that warranty is void if dis-assembled...

or modified, We still had agreed to pay for new parts only which is what our warranty consists of. Our company is not responsible for labor. We are offered to replace a Cam Shaft, Lifter and Push Rod that needed to be replaced. Customer insists that we pay for labor. This customer did not allow us the opportunity to contact a reputable machine shop or OUR choice within a reasonable distance from him.
New Cam Shaft: $259
New Lifter: $67
New Push rod: $18
At this point, We are exercising our warranty agreement. Warranty is Void due to dis-assembly.

I am rejecting this response because:
First and foremost, they leave out the part where they told me to pull the engine and return it for an exchange. I have this in email and I was told this on the phone.
In the process of removing the engine I found the problem. (I should say a problem, not the problem, because there is more.) The initial problem did seem trivial so I asked for the parts because I was going to install them myself and they still wanted me to exchange it. I will repeat, after knowing that the engine was missing pushrods and rockers they still wanted me to pull this engine and exchange it. This is 100% the truth and I have the email proving it.
As far as I am concerned that should be the end of it, but eventually another person starting emailing me pretending to be the person I had been dealing with. This other person was relentless in trying to back out of the exchange without actually saying there would be no exchange. It became obvious they were just stringing me along. This person also called me on the phone and was very angry and rude.
The engine is still not functional and it does have problems which I can demonstrate. I haven't gotten into detail with them regarding the full extent of the problems before because I know they are going to try and blame these things on me, despite the items having never left my garage, and they already agreed to an exchange weeks ago. Just look at their other complaints, they constantly make up stories and spin to avoid having to fix anything.
I have better things to do than buy engines from people and install them and then hope there are problems so that I can make up false reviews and cover my tracks. Or whatever nonsense they are saying.
As far as my address, I have been a victim of identity theft and credit card fraud in the past so I do guard my online information, the fact that they looked it up is somewhat troubling. Also they are breaking the rules posting my information here, but that is no surprise.

The owner of the company was very helpful with issues I was having with my Escalade. I needed a front differential and got it at a great price with installation. I will be coming back in the future and be referring my family and friends.

The customer had called or text us telling us he already had the engine in a machine shop and sent pictures prior to notification that the engine or transmission had a discrepancy.  We honor our warranty and WE decide what major reputable repair shop will check engines under our warranty.  The dis-assembly of the engine voided the warranty.  He does not have a signed letterhead to backup an pproval to have an engine checked or repaired of his choice. Warranty is VOID

I am rejecting this response because:
Sorry but this is NOT What agreed-upon. We were aware  of warranty agreement. He advised us to do otherwise per text messages on phone. It is not just those parts that were bad all other parts inside engine were also bad. We had his approval to take a necessary steps to fix the engine and he would take care of Bill with his permission. We even have a text message stating he had deposited money and we would receive funds within three days. Before engine was disassembled are taken apart he had advise us to do so.  So Problems could be fixed. And warranty also guarantees a running engine which we did not receive. Also he working transmission which we did not receive. And radiator never even showed up and we haven't even complained about that yet we're being generous to him.
