I would give them a negative if I could. This company starts charging interest on your purchase 2 days after the purchase was made. I called and the women was very nasty so I asked for a supervisor. Surprise Surprise I was left on hold for 23 minutes until the machine came on and said they were closed for the day. BEWARE!

On May 8th I checked into the Candlewood Suites in Newport News for my Fathers Funeral. I used 2 credit cards to pay for my rooms as well as cash. I paid 229.29 with my Indigo credit card issued by Genesis FS. I paid the remaining with my Capital One Credit cards and my CME federal credit card. On May 9th I get a call from the CME fraud alert department saying that Candlewood had been had been authorized 250.00 but had attempted to collect a additional 150.00- 250.00 and that they had tried to charge the account 40+ times. I told them only the 250 was authorized. They were alerted not to accept any more charges. On May 12th we checked out and went back to Ohio. Once I returned home I called to pay my Capital One accounts and much to my surprise Candlewood Suites had charged an extra 200.00 on both card. I got customer service on the phone explain how much it should have been and Capital One immediately removed the charges pending their investigation. I informed CO of the CME attempt . I called Indigo card and Candlewood had charges an additional 150.00 to the card. I told Indigo of the fraud attempts on the other card they said nothing they could do until it posted once it posted I disputed the charges. On May 28th I received a letter saying I have to pay the 150.00 but they did not say why. I called and asked them what kind of investigation they did. They could not tell me. I explained to them that I had a credit limit of only 300.00 I had a valid charge of 229.00 which let me with an available balance of 36.00 How could they authorize them to charge another 150.00. I told them that both Capital One and CME found fraud and I did NOT have to pay. They said I had to call the merchant but they said they contacted the merchant. Very confused and frustrated I closed the account May 11th the day of the fraud. To date my current pay-off charge with Indigo is 1.21... But with the fraud it is 151.21. Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi [redacted]- I apologize for the delay in responding, I have to coordinate with a number of other departments. Since the account was opened in 2010, we have to query a third party for old statements, and weigh the costs of obtaining those (may not be a big deal). They have requested this information and are just waiting to hear back. That said, if the consumer thought there were fraudulent charges on the account in 2010, he would have had to address the issue at that time. There’s nothing that can be done now

A previously disclosed, Genesis Lending Services was the servicer for some Corinthian College loans. Select accounts were deemed eligible for relief by the CFPB working in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Education. Unfortunately, not all borrowers were found to be eligible for relief. Any borrower that qualified for relief would have received a letter detailing the amount of relief they were eligible for by March 15, 2015. The amount of relief each borrower was eligible to receive was not defined by Genesis Lending Services.
