This is in response to the complaint submitted by Ms*** *** (ID ***)Ms*** initially enrolled her child in our program for after-school care at the beginning of the school yearParents who enroll for the school year agree to pay equal payments of $This payment
takes into account that there are weeks in the school year and the rate per week is $108.00.Ms*** withdrew her child in January, saying she intended to enroll her child in another programAt the time, Ms*** owed a balance but I forgave it because she said she was having financial difficultiesAfter a month, Ms*** returned and asked if we would provide care for her child temporarily until the other program admitted herBecause Ms*** and her child's father were habitually late picking up their child, I was hesitant to allow her to returnHowever, I agreed since she said it would only be for several weeksI told her to pay the weekly amount of $This is what she was billedMs*** was late picking up her child during the first week of June and became angry because she was asked to pay the $late pickup feeShe began to search for ways to avoid paying the feeThis is when she began complaining and making accusations that she was overchargedTo date, she has a balance of $since she refused to pay for the last weeks of care for her childShe also still owes the late pickup feeWe have been extremely patient and responsive to this parent, despite the challengesWe provided excellent and compassionate care for her child even when she was as late as 8:p.mbeing picked up.| regret that Ms*** felt the need to hurt the organization that has provided loving care for her childIn view of the combative behavior of this parent, l informed her that we will no longer provide care for her child, I have provided Ms*** with a copy of her billing statement going back to January Thank you for your attention to this matterLisa W
