[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:If Genesis Motor Company has addressed each issue regarding the illuminating warning dash lights, why are the same warning lights still illuminating today that were illuminating the very first day when we were driving the vehicle from their Dealership? We feel this dealership had cleared the warning light prior to us coming out to test drive the vehicle and the issues were being covered upIt would be interesting to hear what the previous owner says about any warning lights illuminating on this vehicle prior to Genesis Motor Company purchasing the vehicle from themLarry F [redacted] did tell me to take the vehicle back to [redacted] to have it checked when I was at his dealership on June 29thMrF [redacted] and his mechanic know the Catalytic Converter code was coming up on the on board computer on June 29th when the car was taken back to themIf they state different, they are lying! My grandson was there with me that day and heard them tell us that tooThe concern on the mileage was that it was not on the copy of the bill of sale that was given to us on the day we purchased the carSee the copy we submittedIt was written in on the dealerships copy after we leftTroy was paid to install the wiring harness and he didHowever, that didn't fix the problemThe wiring harness was bad, but Troy says the vehicle also needs an ABS pumpThe quote to purchase a used ABS pump is $We were at no time informed that an appointment was made to replace the Catalytic ConverterIf there was a date & time, we would have taken the car to have it replacedWe would rather had our mechanic replace the converter and that is what we told MsC***At that point she refused to set the appointment and when we contacted her later, she did not respond.MsC [redacted] & Genesis Motor Company should be embarrassed that they would put a customer through the ordeal they have put us throughWe purchased this car in good faith from this dealership and since June 3rd we have had nothing but stress and problems with getting this vehicle to be in operating conditionFurthermore, I will never sign off on this complaint unless the vehicle has the Catalytic Converter replaced and the dashboard warning lights are not illuminated Regards, [redacted]

Ok- I am responding to each of Mr [redacted] s points This is Kim from Genesis Motor.1- We have addressed every repair that the lights were causing The catalytic converter was NOT one of these issues.2- At NO time did Larry F [redacted] tell Mr [redacted] to go back to [redacted] *** Mr [redacted] KNOWS this Mr [redacted] told me that Troy M [redacted] told him to bring the car back to [redacted] *** I called Troy regarding this? And he told me that he NEVER told Mr [redacted] to bring the car back to [redacted] *** When the car was brought to [redacted] [redacted] on 6/12/15,THERE WAS NO CATALYTIC CONVERTER CODE.4- Attached - Please find a copy of the title that was made the day of sale Rettews Notary filed the paperwork with the state It CLEARLY states the mileage at 115, - Troy was paid for the wiring harness This was a repair from when the car was first purchased And Genesis was responsible for missing the wiring harness issue We paid Troy I most certainly DID set an appointment for Mr [redacted] I clearly stated the date and time Mr [redacted] REFUSED When he refused and threatened again reporting us And threatening a lawsuit? I told Mr [redacted] that I would no longer try to work with him The constant harassment from this matter is quite embarrassing Mr [redacted] has repeatedly threatened and badgered me I was receiving texts as early as 6am from him and as late as 8pm while having dinner with my family Not all correspondence was done through texting There were emails and phone messages as well In Mr [redacted] s first complaint? He clearly states this......This situation is NOT covered under warranty! A catalytic converter is NOT covered It is a WEARABLE item He has accused us of lying This is completely unacceptable and completely untrue We have been accused of rigging the emissions inspection to get the [redacted] to pass The paperwork from [redacted] on 6/12/clearly shows THREE CODES NONE OF THEM ARE FOR A CATALYTIC CONVERTER

My name is [redacted] at Genesis Motor LLC. I have completely reviewed the attached complaint from [redacted] . Please see attached email. We are a small dealership in [redacted] [redacted] lives in Maryland. I was surprised when we were... called regarding "leaks" on the car. My initial thought was that something had been missed by my garage. When I contacted my garage I was told there were no leaks. That normal seepage occurs and that there WERE NO LEAKS. So I sent out the photos that [redacted] sent me to a local garage that we use. Attached are his findings. I wanted to be 100% sure.At no time did I say that I would take care of everything. I forwarded this information to my garage and to [redacted] We are not responsible for this repair.Sincerely, [redacted] Genesis Motor LLC

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:1. If Genesis Motor Company has addressed each issue regarding the illuminating warning dash lights, why are the same warning lights still illuminating today that were illuminating the very first day when we were driving the vehicle from their Dealership? We feel this dealership had cleared the warning light prior to us coming out to test drive the vehicle and the issues were being covered up. It would be interesting to hear what the previous owner says about any warning lights illuminating on this vehicle prior to Genesis Motor Company purchasing the vehicle from them. 2. Larry F[redacted] did tell me to take the vehicle back to [redacted] to have it checked when I was at his dealership on June 29th. Mr. F[redacted] and his mechanic know the Catalytic Converter code was coming up on the on board computer on June 29th when the car was taken back to them. If they state different, they are lying! My grandson was there with me that day and heard them tell us that too.4. The concern on the mileage was that it was not on the copy of the bill of sale that was given to us on the day we purchased the car. See the copy we submitted. It was written in on the dealerships copy after we left. 5. Troy was paid to install the wiring harness and he did. However, that didn't fix the problem. The wiring harness was bad, but Troy says the vehicle also needs an ABS pump. The quote to purchase a used ABS pump is $255.00.6. We were at no time informed that an appointment was made to replace the Catalytic Converter. If there was a date & time, we would have taken the car to have it replaced. We would rather had our mechanic replace the converter and that is what we told Ms. C[redacted]. At that point she refused to set the appointment and when we contacted her later, she did not respond.Ms. C[redacted] & Genesis Motor Company should be embarrassed that they would put a customer through the ordeal they have put us through. We purchased this car in good faith from this dealership and since June 3rd we have had nothing but stress and problems with getting this vehicle to be in normal operating condition. Furthermore, I will never sign off on this complaint unless the vehicle has the Catalytic Converter replaced and the dashboard warning lights are not illuminated.
