In regards to the Volvo XCthe customer picked up their car on Saturday and appeared happyIt was unfortunate that the ac compressor failed and we repaired it at no charge even though there was no warranty on the car

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards, [redacted]

Parts were Bosch whom makes them for BMW, customer was only charged their Deductible NOTdiagnostic which is stated in their warranty, Repairs were performed without any prior authorization, no pictures of any leaks were ever given to us, all ignition coils obviously did not fail at the same time which is why the warranty company denied the repair

If you read all of the text messages, not just the highlighted portion, you will see that Mr *** was given the option to bring the vehicle back and have the repairs performed at our discretionThis is the only optionThe offer is overly generousIts a 40+ year old car, its not a new carThe vehicle is sold as is/ where is and under no law are we required to do anythingWe are trying to help and are going above and beyond whats required

I brought my vehicle directly to Audi Rochester right away when the oil light came onThere was nothing else I could do, an engine, if sold in proper condition should not lose oil pressure in it's first 2k miles, before even needing an oil changeI was verbally quoted a price of $6,and Jay Fsaid he would work with me, to this day I still have not received anything in writing either for my estimate or for the engine that was placed in my carMy final invoice came to $6,which is over estimate and as you can see per the attached excel document excessive in terms of: Charging freight expense without any supporting documentation, excessive 50%+ markup on parts, taking the $2,sales credit out after tax and therefore taxing me on a larger amountIn total this was an overcharge of 1,- I offered to work with them but I was provided an inflated invoice which was over estimateI was forced to pay to satisfy the mechanics lien but this whole process has been shady

The gentleman who responded to this complaint wasn't involved in the transaction.  Jay F[redacted] was the salesman and we had an understanding that he would make the fixes to this car.  I understand that this car has no warrantee but to show up on my doorstep with the headlight falling out isn't acceptable.  The problems I have with this car are from day one.  If I knew there were so many problems I wouldn't have purchased the car.  But Jay promised the car had no issues and everything worked properly.  Jay said many times that he would fix the car.  I told him he could come and get the car and make the fixes or I could take it to a local Porsche guy, [redacted], and he could do the fixes. Jay said it would be less expensive if I had the fixes done at [redacted].  I got Jay quotes from [redacted] for the work and he didn't want pay the money.  I have 54 pages of conversation between Jay and I about this car.  I have included some of the highlights in this email.  I still leave the option open for Jay to send his trailer to pick up the car and make the fixes at his shop.  I just want the car Jay promised when he sold me the car.

Hi, the customer had 1 ignition coil, 1 spark plug and a valve cover gasket replaced at our shop on 4/27/16. A warranty company would only pay to replace a single spark plug. The customer had a misfire months later in another state and went to a dealership and they sold her all new spark plugs,...

ignition coils and a valve cover gasket. They told her that the valve cover gasket was leaking and all of the ignition coils and spark plugs were bad. Our total repair was only $1162. Her warranty company would obviously not pay to replace parts that were not defective. We also can not warranty parts that we did not install on the car. We did contact the bmw repair facility for proof of repair and they could only provide us pictures of spark plugs. We can not reimburse the customer without proof of repair. We can also not reimburse the customer for parts that we didn't replace. Also if there were defective parts we would need those to send back for testing to provide reimbursement. We did contact the warranty company, spoke with [redacted] and he did state that BMW would not send them any pictures of failed components. They also stated that BMW told them the ignition coils were overtightened and damaged yet they are push on and that would be impossible. The warranty company would not authorize any repairs because the repair facility would not cooperate with them and provide any proof of failure. The customer did provide us with pictures of spark plugs that the dealership gave her but we don't carry them. So with no proof, pictures of spark plugs from someone else's car, no prior authorization and the lack of the warranty companies faith in the repair shop we can not authorize any reimbursement. This is a sad case of a customer being stranded in another state and being taken advantage of.

Hi, we would be glad to look at and repair the Subaru even though it had no warranty being over 100k miles. No one has brought any of this to our attention. Please call to schedule an appointment.Dan
