Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] I had just visited months prior, AND dentists actually have a to month between visits examsI was very clear when making the appointment AND was left with the impression that Dr [redacted] wold be "filling" the cavityGentle Dental clearly is out to victimize the victim with poor and unprofessional business practicesBlaming their patients anxiety to excuse Dr***'s bad bedside manner? WowHe was smug, condescending and unprofessional on a few levels which is what caused my anxiety, NOT a simple visit to the dentist.VERY disappointed with their response, I will be taking my business elsewhere indeed.Shame on Gentle Dental Regards, [redacted]
In response to the patients complaint.... At Gentle Dental we truly feel that it is always hard to go into a dental practice where a patient has high anxiety about their visit. We are very understanding how some patients have a very hard time coping when they are already in a state of
mind where anxiety has effected their comfort. Dr*** *** is a professional dentist practicing for years. It is a standard protocol that when a patient has not been seen in 6+ months for an issue that has not been resolved, we need to treat the situation as if it is new. Much changes in month and it could be because of patients home care, medications, diet, etc... Dr*** had never seen this patient so he was trying to become familiarized with the patient and what her needs are. We never guarantee treatment the same day as diagnosis because a simple filling may actually be a root canal, which is much more time consuming on our scheduleAnd/or it could be a change in the patients medical history or they could have elevated blood pressure that prevents us from using proper anestheticBecause this patient already deals with anxiety, it was important for us to know what her needs were. Dr*** is never the kind of person to belittle a patient or make them feel of less importance. Continuing a good, honest and trusting relationship between your provider and your patient is very important and we may not be the right office for this patient
