explained to him that we would need to charge an upgrade fee in order to treat the area he wantedHe paid the upgrade fee and we proceeded with treatment*** has since come in for his other treatments in his package and has gotten great results.

Review: I went to Gentle Touch Laser because it was in a convenient location in Midtown. On 10/**/2009 I paid $1,800 on my citibank credit card for 6 treatments (a package) for my bikini and lower leg area. The woman I booked with was named Gina P[redacted] (I believe that was her last name). Gina guaranteed me that I'd see a 90-95% reduction in hair growth so I was excited. She said because I was spending so much that she'd throw in my underarms for free (which I thought was a great offer). After all my treatments were done, she said I should book another package and that if I did I'd receive free touch-ups in the future. So on 9/**/2010 I booked another 6 treatment deal and I paid $1,200 for the same 3 areas. Before my 6 sessions were up, Gina was no longer working there. When I asked if she'd be coming back, some new tech named Gabrielle M[redacted] told me they had fired Gina for stealing and that they were pursuing legal action against her and said some other defamatory remarks about her that I didn't care to know about because it was too personal, private, made me feel awkward, and highly unprofessional. What I was really uncomfortable about was that for my last 3 sessions on that package, I had 3 different women who worked on me (and yet I was never notified prior who would be looking at me naked, which is very uncomfortable). There was some girl named Elizabeth, Danielle, and someone else. What was noticeable instantly was that whereas Gina took her time with me making sure to laser my body in all spots, the new girls rushed me in and out of the office and I felt like a number, not a respected client. And what really angered me was that on my 2nd to last treatment, the lady tech claimed it was my last treatment, to which I quickly corrected her and informed her I had one more. When she wanted to dismiss my comment, I stood up for myself, then she made up some excuse later how the office had "misplaced" my file and that I was indeed correct. It made me think that not only were they trying to rush me in and out, but they were trying to scam me out of getting the sessions I paid for already. When I was done with my 2nd package, I eventually wanted some touch-ups because unlike the initial promise from Gina, I was having a lot of hair grow up and I was feeling pkly. I went in to the center one day and asked how to go about just getting a few free small touchups in some areas. The lady Danielle quickly cut me off and said they don't honor any promises made by former staff and that if I wanted more laser treatments, I'd have to pay again. I was really shocked that she said it to me so bluntly and without any apology or further explanation. On 6/*/2012, I agreed to pay $300 for 2 underarm treatments, 3 bikini treatments, and 3 lower leg treatments. Even though they gave me a receipt (and I've kept all 3 of my receipts), they would only give me the deal if I paid for it in cash (which is noted on the receipt as well). I was never asked to pay cash before in order to receive treatments, so I thought this was very odd. Even after these treatments (and now I've had 15 in total on various parts of my body, over a 2-3 year span), I'm still having my hair grow back. I'm very light fair-skinned and have dark hair, so I'm shocked that my hair is growing back in places when I was guaranteed on my initial consultation that I would see a dramatic difference, and that I'd be able to get small touchups free of charge. I'm filing a complaint against this business for misrepresentation and for its suspicious business schemes, and I would like a partial (if not full) refund because I did not get the result that was promised and I spent $3,300 (not including tips I gave to Gina).Desired Settlement: I would like some type of refund from the business as well as an apology from the owner.

I had initially been emailed by someone back in July of 2015, but the correspondence ended and the business offered no solution to the problem. It has been a month now and they have not tried to contact me to resolve the issue.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: I bought a Groupon deal for 3 laser hair removal sessions on a medium area at Gentle Touch Laser Center. The medium areas that were part of the deal were listed on the Groupon site. The specific medium area I selected was called mankini. When I made appointment for treatment, I spoke with [redacted] and she said its ok, but did not list this in the conformation email I called [redacted] again to clarify, but she said its ok. When I went for appointment, [redacted] said mankini area is not part of the Groupon deal and there would be an upgrade fee to have treatment performed. The 3 medium area sessions I paid for on Groupon were $139 + $12.34 tax. The [redacted] said I could use all 3 medium sessions in exchange for 1 mankini session with an additional $150 upgrade fee. I had the treatment performed. The next day I called [redacted] and asked why I wasn’t told about the price change before I came in for the appointment. She denied that she knew that I wanted to have the mankini area done. She said she was unable to reach Groupon to correct the error. I asked to speak with the [redacted], she said doesn’t know where he is or when he will be back.Desired Settlement: As I was not informed of the price change beforehand I would like $150 upgrade fee refunded. I also bought 3 sessions of mankini laser hair removal on Groupon. I had one session performed. I would like the other two sessions refunded, if they cannot give me the deal that I bought online.
