The manufacturer of the hardwood denied this claim due to high moisture content brought on after installation by...

improper landscaping.  The unfortunate issue about this complaint is the owner of this property performed their own landscaping.  The owner went several weeks, and potentially months, before installing sod, etc. on the property.  Because of this lack of permanent vegetation, erosion on site may have occurred and water was sitting against the foundation.  We do not want any home buyer to be unsatisfied with our product and we even suggested that we would go into the house and repair some of the areas, but the homeowner is wanting all wood replaced and due to the fact that we were not responsible for the finished outside, this clears the builder of warranty on moisture related issues brought on by improper landscape.

"Buying a house from Geordan Communities was the worst mistake I ever made in my life". This is what majority of the home owners in Tivoli, the subdivision built by Geordan, say. If you don't believe me come and knock on any door and ask them yourself. Geordan Communities bought substantial number of foreclosure lands for dirt cheap, built cheap homes and continue building, and selling them for premium prices. They make their clients believe that their homes come with one year warranty, but after a year when these cheaply made homes start to fall a part, the warranty manager and their repair crew nowhere to be found! These homes have major issues such as flooded lots, HVAC malfunction, flooring that is not properly attached to the slab, roof leakage, etc. and they are not being addressed by Geordan no matter how loud you scream. Think before you purchase a home from Geordan Communities.

Absolutely the WORST home buying experience I've had. There are so many issues with this house and it's in constant need of repair and attention.

I purchased this house, shortly after retirement and it's been nothing but a 4 year headache for my family and I. Leaking roof, damaged sewer line, cracked walls, doors that won't seat properly, air conditioning lines that came loose and now rattle on the walls, the list goes on. I don't know how this house passed the inspections during the build.Getting any work done while under warranty, was a nightmare as well. Other owners in the neighborhood have nothing but bad things to say about the issues with their houses as well.

I would not suggest anyone to do business with the builders of these houses. If I could sell it tommorow, I would and that would only be to a demolition company.
