Review: Beginning Sunday, January 4, 2015, my wife noticed that our [redacted] supplied hot water boiler was not working. We have a 25 year old [redacted] Gas Fired Cast Iron Hot Water Boiler.
We started calling plumbing and HVAC contractors in and around the City of Charlottesville, VA. on Monday, January 5, 2015. NO contractor services our area; we were always referred to the George A. Dansey company in Scottsville, Albemarle County, VA.
I made contact with the Dansey company in Scottsville on the morning of the 5th. At approximately 3:10 PM, an employee from the George A. Dansey company arrived. After spending over $2,200.00 in parts and labor over the next several months, the furnace still DID NOT work; it had to be manually started each time in order to heat the house.
In desperation, I called a major HVAC contractor in Charlottesville and begged for help. The contractor called referred us to a specialist in the [redacted] The private contractor who responded from Fluvanna County, walked in the basement, did several quick tests and evaluations, and had the furnace back on line...with the ORIGINAL VAILLANT LPG valve re-installed!Desired Settlement: However, I would simply like a partial refund for the two defective LPG valves installed by his employees in my home. The last HVAC contractor from Fluvanna County found that there was nothing wrong with the original [redacted] valve. The two replacement valves had been "IMPROPERLY" adjusted and installed. We were lucky!
We are asking for a partial refund of $400.00 for the defective parts we received and improperly installed.
