George Benson, Jr. Remodeling Contractor

Contractor refuses to return to perform punch list items from renovations. Attempted several times via, phone calls, text messages and emails. We have several cracked tiles in kitchen floor both due to a transition of sub flooring differences. We were assured there would be no problems with cracking, one area should have had a transition piece at doorway of laundry room or grout line at doorway. Numerous cracking in ceiling drywall of kitchen and master baths. He addressed the master bath ceiling issues stating that previous contractor didn't use the correct tape and not enough skim coats to drywall. We paid him in full and within a month all cracks and corner beads are exposed. When he re-did our shower floor (a result of previous contractor not using a rubber membrane) he threw out our oil bronze finish special order drain and drain cover that matched all of the fixtures throughout our home and replaced it with a cheap stainless steel unit. He didn't use a drip tray form like the first contractor which resulted in a lot of water laying and that resulted in mold and mildew forming. We now have to squeegee the floors. He also did not seal tile which would help to control the mold and milde.I did not obtain a cost for deep cleaning of tile needed before we can seal the floor and walls. I have obtained estimates for the work needed at a cost of $950 and an additional cost of $105 for a new trim kit for the shower drain cover. I have forwarded all information to George Benson with no response to date.
