Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: *** *** *** has still not addressed our primary complaint and concerns for three reasons:
He never informed us either in writing or verbally the cost of his services either prior or during, but only after the work was completedAt its completion, as we wrote before, he demanded the money and threatened to undo all that he did "in ten minutes." He threatened us infront of our children and other workers who were present doing other jobs;
He claims that he replaced three things: a thermostat; an expanded pipe; and a valve related to our showerHowever, in reality, he showed and asked permission for replacing only the first two itemsThe third item (i.e., valve) was never brought to our attention until we got the invoiceThe valve he gave to me as the "faulty one" is still with meHe never showed us where it belonged toWhen I took it to the *** *** to identify what part it was, the professionals at *** *** told me that it was part of the shower set, and that it cost less than $*** *** charged me $for thatIn other words, what *** *** has done is unprofessional because he never told us that he was going to replace that third componet, and that he never told me that he was going to charge me that much money (almost times of the actual cost);
When we tried to have a conversation with him over the phone to bring our cocern directly before approaching the Revdex.com, *** *** talked like a "bully" who never listened to what we had to say and only focused on how much he was going to return ($100.00) and hung up the phone both times we tried to talk to himIt's a shame that people like *** *** is allowed to have bullying tactics accompanied by threats and extortion, and we feel that he should owe us an apology for his uethical and threatening behavior and owe us $in returnSincerely,*** ***

We went to their home to locate and repair a frozen pipe. We did that and also replaced an inaccurate thermostat. Once we turned on the waterThe shower diverter was frozen and did not split but expanded so that would have to be replaced alsoWhich we did. Made the bill out and they started to complain about price. How much do you get an hour? We price repair by the job. We could not do that for the first part because we did not know how extensive the job was. I charged them $to locate, repair leak in wall, supply and install a thermostat. We normally get $to install a new shower valve
Once they received the bill the dealing startedSo reduced the rate to by $and everybody was happy! Requested cards by the way
Left the job then the phone calls started that day. Every time they called I returned there call. Questions like what did you do ? They where standing there watching meFinally the last call at 7:(about) Friday nightI had it I offered them another $off if they would leave me alone (I also said they should still call the Revdex.com this was not an offering for them not make the call)His response was he had to talk to his wife they will call me tomorrow.
Saturday 12:PM the call comes in. I called them right back (I want to put this to bed). Now they both start talking at me. I say wow! I told them, we where there for hr. They say 2hours and 15 minOkay I said lets do 1/Hr $225.00/hr for men
21/hr@ 225.00/hr = $material for leak repair= Shower valve = material for shower =
Total
Again I said I would return $100.00 to make this go away! He replies what about the thermostat? I said I forgot. That is $but that is Okay I will take as loss to put this behind me. I will still return $100.00. Then he and the wife started all over again talking at me (Never did they tell me what they wanted just kept talking). At that point I told them there is nothing to discussIt is a yes or no answer. Do you want the money returned to youAgain the wife started. At that time I said, I am going to hang up DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN. I said good by and hung up
Tried to help them but some times no matter what you do you can not please some people. I am sorry this whole thing happened and that I returned their call.
I still want this to go away!!

George installed a new furnace for us in 2008 and it went seamlessly- he has a talented crew. In 2013 we had an emergency with our water heater blowing out- he and his crew should up hours later with a new unit and had it installed in a afternoon. The biggest part was he didn't charge for an emergency - which he could certainly have justified doing. We have a new issue this morning with some plumbing and I saw this Revdex.com listing while looking up his number. I don't stop my day for too many service providers- but I was very pleased with the help they were to our family.

Review: [redacted] did a repair work for two hours and gave us a bill for $1000. Due to our inexperience, we did not ask the estimate of hourly charges and services prior to the commencement of the work. [redacted] did not inform us on his labor and service chages prior to the commencement of the work. When the two hours of work was completed, he gave us a bill for $1000. When asked about the explanation of charges he stated that "I do not charge by the hour, but for the job done." He added, "It is similar to going to the doctor's office where you pay for the experience." He said that if we did "not pay, he would undo the work in ten minutes." When in shock on how to respond to his threat of undoing the work, " we gave him a check of a reduced amount of $900 because he stated that he would charge only $900 if we made out the check for "cash" (and not in his name). He over charged us for his services, and refused to tell us his labor charge at the completion of the work. There were witnesses from a different company and they were shocked at [redacted] behavior and over charging us and his threat to undo the work in ten minutes. When we brought our concerns directly later on that evening, [redacted] advised us that "since the work is done and we paid him, we should call it a day, and move on with it." When we told him that we would place a complaint with Revdex.com, he stated that he didn't care and hung upon us. After an hour he called us back and stated that he would give us a refund of $100. Those were his terms and was not willing to listen to what we had to say. We are concerned about his unethical business practices which clearly exploited us, and we are wondering if there's a recourse we have in this situation.Desired Settlement: 1. [redacted] should provide his hourly labor prior to the commencement of the work, even if the client/consumer does not ask for it. He cannot charge whatever amount he chooses AFTER the fact. 2. Enquiry with other consumers and plumbers, we think that we should not be charged more than $500 for services which include labor and parts. 3. [redacted] needs to practice in an ethical and professional way;

The shower diverter was frozen and did not split but expanded so that would have to be replaced also. Which we did. Made the bill out and they started to complain about price. How much do you get an hour? We price repair by the job. We could not do that for the first part because we did not know how extensive the job was. I charged them $305 to locate, repair leak in wall, supply and install a thermostat. We normally get $695.00 to install a new shower valve.

Once they received the bill the dealing started. So reduced the rate to by $100.00 and everybody was happy! Requested 2 cards by the way.

Left the job then the phone calls started 4 that day. Every time they called I returned there call. Questions like what did you do ? They where standing there watching me. Finally the last call at 7:00 (about) Friday night. I had it I offered them another $100.00 off if they would leave me alone (I also said they should still call the Revdex.com this was not an offering for them not make the call). His response was he had to talk to his wife they will call me tomorrow.

Saturday 12:30 PM the call comes in. I called them right back (I want to put this to bed). Now they both start talking at me. I say wow! I told them, we where there for 3 hr. They say 2hours and 15 min. Okay I said lets do 2 1/2 Hr $225.00/hr for 2 men.

21/2 hr. @ 225.00/hr = $562.50

material for leak repair= 30.00

Shower valve = 185.00

material for shower = 15.00

Total 792.50

Again I said I would return $100.00 to make this go away! He replies what about the thermostat? I said I forgot. That is $60.00 but that is Okay I will take as loss to put this behind me. I will still return $100.00. Then he and the wife started all over again talking at me (Never did they tell me what they wanted just kept talking). At that point I told them there is nothing to discuss. It is a yes or no answer. Do you want the money returned to you. Again the wife started. At that time I said, I am going to hang up DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN. I said good by and hung up.

I still want this to go away!!
