I received a call from the customer to check her air conditioning system as it was not cooling correctlyWhen I arrived at her home the customer met me at her front door and apologized for her dog as it was barking and growling a through the doorShe told me the AC unit was around back that I could go through the fence at the side and she would meet me around backI explained to the customer what I was going to look at prior to starting and continued to explain each step of what I was doing to her as I wentHer system was low on rrefrigerant and approximated that it would take a lbs to a lbs and a half to bring it to the corrected levelI invited and encouraged the customer to stand with me and to watch each step I performedAfter she viewed the low level I also advised due to the age of the system there could be a larger leak but this being the first time looking at her unit I had no bench mark as to the rate of the leakShe then went inside, I returned to my truck to get the freon and came back and began to add it to the systemOnce the correct level was reached I observed the readings and also checked the discharge temperatureThe system was working well at that pointI went back around to the front door talked with the customer and billed her for the callShe states that she talked with me the following day and again on Monday I told her the following day when she said it wasn't cooling again that it's obvious there is a leak in her system and possibly a bad metering deviceIf that were the case I would strongly consider replacing the system before making costly repairsShe said thank you and I never heard another comment from her until she was all over social media calling me a liar and to never call me to all her friends and also on my business page, all this coming some days latterShe also stayed that another company came out and told her no freon had ever been added to her system, this statement is a out right lie,there is absolutely no way for anyone to be able to substantiate anything like thatAlso if refrigerant was added again on Monday that is a direct violation of EPA law for this other company to doI performed exactly what was ask of me by the customer and was paid for what work was performedThere has been absolutely no wrong doing on my part at all in this matter and furthermore intend on taking legal action for the slanderous comments by the customer on social media and the Internet as well as the statements made to your agency in an attempt to defamation of name, my business and my character
