George Eisenberg Asphalt and Sealing

Review: We signed a contract with George Isenberg and provided a 50% deposit to him to buy materials to perform the work. This was the end of June 2013 with a verbal from him that work would commence after the 4th of July, approx. July 12th. He estimated the project taking no more than 2 days. He was hired to extend/widen an existing asphalt driveway. He never showed up and has never returned a phone call. When I ran into him in the neighborhood, sealing a neighbor's driveway, he told me "You are next on my list and I have the bobcat lined up for the end of the week". He never showed. Weeks have passed. After leaving him multiple phone messages asking when he was coming to do the work, but getting no response from him, I requested via voice mail that he return our deposit since it was apparent he was not going to perform the work. He has not returned our deposit to date.Desired Settlement: I would like my $600.00 deposit returned ASAP.

Review: In July 2014, we paid Mr. [redacted] approx $4300 which was 50% of the price of a new driveway. He had said he would start it at the end of july. Well it is now almost the end of September and to date he has not shown up, We have tried and tried to call him, leaving voice mail messages or texts on his business phone and cell phone (###-###-####). Last week he said he would start at the beginning of this week. Well this is Tuesday and he has not come. He has never called us to say he would be late, or to explain any kind of situation to us.Desired Settlement: I would like a total refund of the money I paid.No other settlement will be accepted as it is too much money to be out.
