Review: Hired George Paving in Oct 2015. Work completed Nov 2015. Full price of $7,500 paid upon completion. Over next week of inspecting driveway, I found it was a horrible job, literally crumbling and breaking apart in multiple places. Contractor said he couldn't do asphalt in winter, so I waited until Apr 2016 and recontacted him. He came out with an antagonistic attitude and blamed me for damaging the driveway. Finally, he admitted that he must have gotten a bad load of asphalt and explained that sometimes happens in the manufacturing process, and he promised to return and fix my driveway. After three months of no contact, I sent a certified letter to him, which he refused to accept. I then sent a second certified letter with the same result. His contract states a one-year warranty is in place, and when he was on my property in April, he verbally stated to me that the warranty would cover the additional work because the original work was faulty.Desired Settlement: All I want is for him to come back and provide a professional driveway which I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR IN FULL.

Regards,

Review: George Paving paved our driveway last year. I signed a contract on 5/31/13 for the work with a one year guarntee on the work performed.Within 1 month of the work being completed, I started noticing cracks in the driveway. The edges of the driveway never set up and continue to peel today. I have large cracks in the driveway and pitted areas where my car sit on the driveway. [redacted] did the work. I kept in constant contact with Steve when I started seeing the issue and he said the driveway just needed time to cure. I called [redacted] on several occassions to come our and assess the driveway and he did not. I contacted [redacted] when the weather started getting colder and snow was in the forcast, so he could come and assess the driveway because I was concerned that the cold weather was not going to be good for the driveway. After the snow melted, it is really evident that the work was shoddy. I have even larger cracks in the driveway. There are areas where the asphalt has come up at the seam with the apron.[redacted] has not backed up his guarantee.Desired Settlement: I demand a refund of my $2,000.00. I no longer want George Paving to make me a guarantee they will not honor.

Review: [redacted] came to seal my driveway. He instructed his assistant to tear out the metal edging supporting the edge of the driveway and preventing grass from growing into it. I told him to stop and he immediately began screaming, cursing, and insisting I had asked him to rip it out. I can't believe anyone would rip out the metal edging on a driveway. I asked for his insurance information. He refused. I asked him to fix the edging and complete the job. He refused. I asked him to leave. He refused. A woman drove up in his company truck and also began yelling at me. (He kept screaming and cursing so loudly I found out later that a neighbor called the police because she feared for my safety. I am disabled.) He stated he was calling the police. I went into my home. The police arrived and he again started screaming, swearing, waving his arms, and told the police I had "raised my hand" to him. Given his size and my condition, it's inconceivable I would want a confrontation. The police, as expected, said there was nothing they could do. I was shaken, in tears, and afraid. The metal edging is too mangled to repair and the adjacent grass is torn up.Desired Settlement: I believe [redacted] should apologize for his abusive and threatening behavior. As a licensed professional, I can't believe he would conduct himself as he did. I believe I am entitled to payment for the cost of having to get new edging installed and the affected portion of my lawn repaired in the amount of $250.00
