As a practice we never quote what an Insurance Company may or may not be reimbursing for a serviceThere are so many plans and each year there is the chance coverages may changeThe parent/responsible party also had provided us with the incorrect insurance informationSince the services were
provided, a portion of the visit has been paid by the insurance company and reimbursement of the total insurance benefit was sent to the parent/responsible partyOur fee for these services has been the same for the last five years and is well known by all front desk staff in the officeFees for pre treatment orthodontic records have long been the norm with great majority of practicesIt has never been our policy to not charge for orthodontic diagnostic recordsas a matter of fact the responsible party's older daughter had orthodontic treatment with our office in and the fee for records was at that time which was paid at the time of serviceUnlike many practices we do not charge to send records to another officeWe have forwarded the xrays to the parent and the study models are ready for pick up

[This company is making a false claim  that I provided the wrong insurance information to them. Also it is false that the front desk is aware of all fees and communicates them effectively to clients before services are rendered. All doctor services provide some type of guidance, not assurances, regarding insurance coverage. If there was any chance of insurance coverage for the services I received then why was I charged the entire amount at the time of my visit?  That is not standard practice.  In my conversation with this company to resolve this issue I was told that my insurance coverage would not cover these services. It seems now that I have taken some action they are trying to settle this claim in some manner. The molds made by this dentist are not accepted by other orthodontists, and based on their deceptive practices I could not in good faith get a fair completion of my child's orthodontic diagnostics,  which supposedly was included in the fee. Hence I continue with my request for full reimbursement for services that have not been rendered in the full amount of $500. This is a deceptive practice from a company that provides health services for families, and I see no attempt to solve the overlying problem.]
