This letter is in response to a complaint filed to your office by *** *** of *** that is not a surprise to me due to his characterGeorge’s Aviation has been in business for now over years and this is the first complaint to your office that we ever hadI will answer each issue of
***’s statement and then offer you my thoughts at the end.True statement *** got his *** rating with us in July 2014.True Statement in after his training he still had an open balance with George’s Aviation.Statement that I would call *** *** about him owing us money and make it hard for him theirThe truth is, I didn’t even know he applied at *** *** and got hired thereThe way I found out was when *** *** sent us a request for his records after he was hired (This is required by the *** *** ***)*** knew they would contact me for records and a reference and didn’t want me to say that he owed George’s Aviation money for his training that allowed him to even apply for that job.True statement *** made payments on his outstanding balance of over $that he owed for months.True Statement he never flew at George’s Aviation after getting his *** rating.True Statement I saw *** at the *** *** football game while I was walking to my seat. Now here are the facts.George’s Aviation is a flight schoolWe cannot survive if our students don’t keep their balances currentI’ve known *** for many yearsHe would come to our business and hang around for hours bringing his Dog, then girlfriend (who became his wife and later his kidHe was always welcomed to just come in and chat with everyone*** worked very hard to get his ratings and nothing came easy to himSo when he wanted to get his *** rating I knew it would be a challenge for him but with a lot of help from our school, *** did it.During his training, when *** returned from his flights *** would always tell me and the office staff that his wife was going to pay for his trainingHe said her family had a lot of money and not to worryEvery week we would ask *** for a payment on his bill that was getting into the thousands of dollars*** would say his wife was getting him the money or she has a check for us, and he was waiting for itSometimes he would say he forgot the check, or forgot the cash, or he didn’t want to carry all that money because he had to go to someplace first.*** needed a much greater amount of training to pass his *** rating then the average that we have done here at George’s AviationAlso *** failed his check ride and had to retest with the *** examiner I believe or maybe times to pass.I should not have allowed his bill to get out of handbut *** was so convincing that payment was coming and I didn’t want him to stop his training and have to relearn what he was taught and spend even more money Thus I told my staff to allow him to continue his training without payment(No good deed goes unpunished.)Months and months went by without payment*** stopped coming around like he always didWe would call him and he would not return any of our calls for paymentsWe sent him invoice--nothing worked*** went to work at a flight school at Barbers Point where I know the owner very wellHow I found out about him working there was I would hear his voice on the radio using their ***planeI called the owner and asked him to have *** call meStill that didn’t workMonths and months went byI called the owner at the flight school if again he could have *** call meAt that point I found out he had fired *** and was not in contact with him anymoreI was stuckThen I heard *** got into *** ***I was thinking GREAT!!! Now he will have a good job and maybe will then pay his billI didn’t talk to *** *** about *** at all.Months laterNow at the football game, I saw him, I walked by and saw he was with his wife and childI didn’t want to mention anything about the money he still owed, so I just said “hi” to him and his wife, waved to his child and walked awayAs I was about to walk away I stopped and said hey how you doing at *** ***He gave me this really really upset look and said raising his voice “I NOT WORKING THERE” I was shockedA few days later I spoke to one of our ex-students who worked there and found out he was let go during trainingI don’t know the reason for them letting him go but I do know that he didn’t make it past the training phaseMost have trouble during their Simulator flight testing or ground classroom testingI know from more than for my Ex-Students who made it to *** ***, training is very intense and if a student makes an error they are given a few chances to make it up and try again, but if a student continues to fail *** ***, like any other ***line has have no choice but to let the trainee goAgain, I did not call *** *** about *** at allI don’t know why he has let go, but I assume it was performance or attitude related. After *** finally made a payment, my accountant was doing aroutine audit found that *** was not charged for his extra training and extra check rides by the ***We quickly sent the revised bill to *** showing his correct balanceThe bill we sent shows services provided and the balance due*** does not deny thisThe only reason that this wasn’t included in the prior bill is because his balance was so old and accumulated over such a long period of timeNote we had not even charge him interest! We have been in Business for over years without a complaint to the Revdex.comWe provide great service to our customersWe treat every customer as familyCarrying a large balance for *** without interest is an example of thatWhat company would do that? Most would send a bill of a few hundred dollars to collectionswithin a few monthsI didn’t because I treated *** like all our customers “AS FAMILY”.I ask you to please encourage *** to drop his complaint with the Revdex.com and to pay the remainder bill that he owesThank you for taking the time to listen to ***’s complaint and allow me a chance to reply to his accusationsI will be contacting you via phone and have given a copy of the complaint to our company Lawyer to see if this needs to go to court to be settled
