GeorgeAnn Custom Homes, Inc. Reviews (1)

October 16, 2015Dear [redacted]:Sorry for the delay in answering this letter. We did not receive the letters in a timely fashion as we have moved and even though we have moved next door, the post office sends our mail back to the main office to be rerouted. Additionally, my wife, who is my secretary,...

has been out of town for an extended amount of time caring for her ailing parents. With regards to the above mentioned complaint, I will address each issue separately.1. The shower leak was not easily found. Unfortunately, the leak was intermittent and would occur maybe once a month or so. Upon founding the leak, it was fixed immediately.2. In reference to the drywall repairs, I gave phone numbers to each party so that the homeowner and the drywaller could contact each other to set up a mutually agreed upon time to have it fixed. I left it up to them to follow up on with each other. As of this letter, all drywall repairs are completed.3. In reference to the gaseous odor emitting from the master shower. I was there several times and never smelled it. The homeowner said that it is intermittent. I gave the homeowner the plumbers' phone number when it first happened so that they could set up a time for him to come out. Also, the homeowner hired their own plumber to install a whirlpool tub during construction. They have an option to call their own plumber to try to resolve the issue. I have left it up to the homeowners to contact the plumber of their choosing to resolve this issue. Incidentally, the home was inspected by the City of Bethlehem during ALL phases of construction.4. In reference to the lid for the sump pump pit, it was on site during construction. It disappeared at some point. The homeowner's can go to [redacted] and pick one up. They are very inexpensive.5. As a courtesy, my trimmer went to the homeowner's home two weeks ago to install 3 pieces of shoe molding on the stairs due to shrinkage. Shrinkage is not a warranty item. It is a normal homeowner repair. While there, the homeowner asked to have her interior doors adjusted so that "When you're pulling them shut, you can let go of them a foot from the jam and they will close by themselves." As a courtesy, my trimmer adjusted the doors.6. As a GeorgeAnn Custom Homes, Inc. policy we do not issue Warranty papers until all invoices are Paid in Full. The homeowners currently owe us a balance of $1,238.01 which they continue to ignore. We have gone back and for with the homeowners numerous times regarding this. See attached invoices and see attached emails requesting payment and email dated 1/19/15 acknowledging receipt of our request by the homeowner saying that he would review the invoices and get back to us. Then another request by us on 2/23/15 that has gone unanswered. In conclusion, I have completed all of the items and/or supplied the homeowners with phone numbers to the proper parties to set up an appointment at a mutually convenient time. I have requested payment of monies due several times.Sincerely,Thomas K.
