Review: [redacted] of Georges Associates created an Agreement in writing that he would produce a set of drawings for Repairs at ([redacted]) and ([redacted]) for which he took two retainers totaling $5500.00. This agreement was dated 4/*/2013 in writing. As part of this agreement, [redacted] was to obtain all permits required to do the work. We waited several months for this paperwork and permits with No results. [redacted] claimed there was a problem with Insurance which turned out not to be correct. After contacting the Co-Op for [redacted], they issued their Permit for work which we thought and were told thats all we needed. Several weeks later I then contacted the city of New York Buildings Dept who informed me that no permit was required due to the fact we were only doing repair work related to storm damage Sandy. They informed me that the Architect ([redacted]) should have known that and No Permit was required. [redacted] not only took money from us and did not deliver, he also misled us causing a great loss of time to the Homeowner. I feel he should at minimum refund our money given to him by me for the homeowner. Unfortunetly we lost a lot of time only because of this man's actions.Desired Settlement: as explained above.
