Review: I placed an order for birthday flowers to be delivered to my 85 year old Aunt in Northern Virginia on April 29 -- the day before her birthday. I called George's Flowers here in Roanoke -- the young lady I spoke to read the description of what I wanted delivered to my Aunt back to me -- I asked for something whimsical -- not just an arrangement of flowers -- I had to spell whimsical for her -- but that was fine -- George's used a florist by the name of [redacted] Flower Shop, ###-###-#### for this order. The flowers were not delivered until April 30 at 4:50 pm. They were aware of the late delay and knew I was already upset about this -- then the flowers delivered were a small arrangement of cut flowers in a vase. I was so dissappointed and my Aunt has called me 2 separate times to make sure I let the florist know. I have contacted both florists and no one has responded to my e-mails. I checked the website of [redacted] and they have beautfiul whimsical arrangements for much less than what I paid for this small vase of flowers. I feel I was taken advantage of by these companies.Desired Settlement: I feel I should have a replacement arrangement sent to my Aunt, and an e-mail or apolgoy -- I just don't understand -- is there no such thing as customer service any more -- I explained to George's what I wanted -- I even gave an example of a Halloween arrangement I had sent to my Aunt -- and I thought she understand -- I don't make complaints -- but my Aunt insisted that I do this -- I usually don't use the business any more -- but my Aunt is right -- I needed to do this -- I felt someone should have responded from my e-mails of Friday, May 2. Thank you.

Response:

We have received the complaint through the Revdex.com, and please accept our sincere apologies. My Quality Control Representative [redacted] has been working very hard with the wire service to try and get some answers for you, but just as you received no response, we haven’t as well. In the meantime, we will be more than happy to send another arrangement to your Aunt on our expense. We will use a different flower shop and call them directly. Did you want to chose the florist and arrangement?

I have been in contact with numerous Florists in the area, and none are able to make an arrangement that is similar to the arrangements you sent me. I have spoken with [redacted] and they assured me that they would take care of this if this is ok with you.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. However last evening I received an e-mail from them stating they had not been able to get in touch with them and wanted to know if I had. I told them no -- but at this point to just refund me my money. Just a bad situation all the way around. I know it is not George's fault -- but I can't believe they don't check out businesses before using them -- these people represent them.

I received another e-mail stating they would refund the money but still make sure flowers are delivered. I will advise as soon as I hear something further
