George's Restaurant Reviews (1)

My waitress spilled my entire lasagna entrée in my lap. Management did not offer to replace my person property that was damaged. (Jeans, Shirt, Coat). On March 1st 2014 I was having dinner with my fiancé at Georges Restaurant at the Creedmoor, NC location. I ordered Lasagna and My fiancé ordered chicken Alfredo. When the Waitress brought out our food. She Spilled the entire bowl of HOT Lasagna in my lap. Once the lasagna had been spilled all over me the manager comes out and attempts to help me clean the lasagna off of my clothes. She then orders the cook to prepare another meal for me. Once I am partially cleaned up, My fresh batch of lasagna comes out along with my fiancés meal. We eat and enjoy our dinner. After desert, the manager brings my check to the table and explains that she took 10% off of both entrees. My fiancé and I are immediately insulted my such a heartless gesture of only reducing our bill by 10% per entrée. My fiancé then asks the manager "do you really expect us to pay for a bowl of lasagna that was wasted all over him." The manager then agrees to deduct the price of the lasagna and one of the deserts. To avoid any further conflict my fiancé and I simply paid the remaining balance and left the restaurant. However, the manager never offered to replace my personal property that was damaged. She never offered to pay for dry cleaning services to attempt to clean my clothing. Since She was not even courteous enough to make our entire meal on the house and offer to pay for my damaged personal property. I did not want to speak with her anymore. The following Monday, I attempted to call the Home store location in [redacted], NC and speak with the manager of that store to see if he could help me resolve my issue. He simply told me that I should have been happy with the deduction of the lasagna from my bill and he would offer me a $25 gift certificate to dine at Georges again. I declined the certificated and explained to him that the clothing that was damaged in the incident was worth much more than $25 and a gift certificate would not make me feel better. I then asked to speak with the restaurant owner Mr. [redacted] himself. The manager at the [redacted] Location took down my contact information and told me Mr. [redacted] would contact me to resolve this issue. After 48hrs. of no response from Mr. [redacted], I called back and left a message to have Mr. [redacted] call me once again. Over 20 days later, I have yet to hear from Mr. [redacted] or anyone from that business regarding this issues. To me this is a prime example of poor customer service. How can a customer have their personal property destroyed by a business associate and the business not take responsibility for their actions?Desired SettlementI would like to receive replacement cost for my personal property that was damaged. A blue pair of Levis Jean (569) cost $45.00. A black pullover long sleeve thermal Cost $10.00. And a Black hooded Vest Cost $35.00. A total of $90 of my personal property was damaged and I was only offered a $25 gift certificate.
