 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I was also shocked that being a long time customer that everything was not done to satisfy a complaint. It is true that this was an unusual winter, but that does not give any company the right to leave ruts in my lawn and make no attempt to repair them.  I was warned that there may be the possibility of damage to my property because of the condition of the soil.  For me this was a non-issue because they had never brought tracked or wheeled equipment on to my property in prior jobs (except the stump grinder).May I also remind the company that they did a job for me a month earlier where the conditions were pretty much the same. During that job, and all jobs prior to that one, no skid-loader was ever used to remove tree parts. The job was accomplised with little or no damage to my property. This job included a large tree removal and topping of three other trees. All wood was hauled out by hand. This is one of the reasons I have always used George's Tree Service ...  they climb trees and do not use heavy equipment ..  tracks from the stump grinder has never been an issue. On this last job they suddenly appeared with a skid-loader in the afternoon and started to haul wood with the machine.  It was already too late to say anything, the first trip across my lawn had done the damage.I never received any phone message. It's easy to say you left a message and I guess it's also easy to say you never received a message .. a modern flaw in the system. However, if it were my business, and I knew I had an unhappy customer, I would make it a point to contact that customer and avoid procedures such as this .  The one fact remains is that they did receive my message. On stump grinding:  My expectation is that the remnants of the tree are sufficiently removed so that with a little work a lawn could be re-established. This did happen with another company, after hurricane Sandy, and after Georgia's never returned my call.  So I know it can be done. But in this case, forget about ground level, there is tree stump and roots sticking foot above the ground level. << I invite Mr. George to come see for himself the tree removal sight and then tell me, face to face, this is perfectly acceptable by his companies standards. >>It has left me in a position that now I have to pay another companies overhead and labor to bring out a machine and do the job right ..  While the job could have been done right the first time at considerably less cost to the home owner.    Not a pile of wood chips ... Stump and roots above surface  << come see for yourself >>   After filling in with wood chips and planting seed

Dear Revdex.com,This letter is in response to ID#[redacted] ([redacted]) our customer who is a Middletown Twp. Police Officer contracted our company to remove her hazardous tree. When I, Joe G[redacted] owner and operator of the company gave her an estimate, I explained to her that she...

would need to get permission from her neighbors to be on their properties. This was a huge tree and there was no way to contain it, to just her property. She did in fact speak to both neighbors who did give their consent. We proceeded to remove the tree. When our crew was cleaning up, we were told by the plaintiff to get off his property, We explained to him that we wanted to get any wood and debris off his property to do a good clean up. He proceeded to tell us to LEAVE IT and to GET OFF HIS PROPERTY NOW!!! He is the property owner and we had to abide by his wishes. Now he wants us to come back and clean up. Our crew is not going back to a property, which we were told to GET OF! Also the large opening that was disrupted was sticker bushes and weeds that are probably already regrown. The plaintiff has old tires and garbage all around his back yard. When we trimmed that same tree a couple years ago, they also came out screaming that they didn't want the tree trimmed. That was not up to them, because it wasn't their tree. That is why made sure to let our Customer know that she had to get their permission which she did. The other neighbor had no complaints with us, because he didn't kick us off his property, he let us do our job and clean up. ts the plaintiff didn't want us anywhere on his property, than he should not have given his consent. In closing if he wanted the debris in his yard cleaned up, than he should not have kicked us off his property. I find it amazing how in his letter to you, he left out that detail.Sincerely,Joe G[redacted], President

Dear [redacted],This letter is in reference to a complaint you received about our company. ID#[redacted]. I was shocked when I read the complaint, because the person complaining is a past customer of ours. Having such a hard winter as you know and the ground becomes very saturated from all the snow and rain. with all the grounds being so wet and us being a tree company that uses skid loaders and stump grindersto complete the work contracted to us, we had no choice but to tell all of our customers including the plaintiff that we would not be responsible for any kind of rut damage to their properties. These storms come through and cause so much damage to the trees, and then we have our regular customers like the plaintiff calling to see how soon we can do their work. With the overwhelming number of calls we received everybody in a hurry to get their trees done, nobody wanted to wait until the ground was hard. So we had no choice but to warn all our customers including the plaintiff that if they wanted their jobs done right away, we would not be responsible for any ruts that may be made by the equipment. As the plaintiffs letter states there was snow on the ground. How can you remove tons of wood, in a snow saturated ground without making ruts? As far as the stumps go, we were never told by plaintiff that his stumps were not ground down far enough. The stump grinder can only go so far. Some times people think that it removes the whole stump, but that is not the case; there is still a stump down in the ground. We did grind his stumps below ground level. We do not chase roots. Roots from a tree can be all over the yard it would takeforever to chase all the roots, as the plaintiff already knew from past jobs we have done for him. As far as responding to his complaint, I did in fact call him back after receiving his message on the answering machine. too reached his voice mail and left him a message reminding him that we had warned him that we would not be responsible for any rut damage. Please just think of it from our end,  if you were to water your yard nonstop for four months (the snow storms started in October and plaintiff got job done in February) and then asked someone to bring a piece of heavy equipment onto the yard, of course you're going to see ruts and that's exactly why we had to warn our customers of potential damage. With all the tree jobs we did this winter, due to these terrible storms, this is the one and only complaint we received, because people understand that were not miracle workers. it just strikes me funny that in these times of fierce storms that we were advictims to, customers call our company in a panic, because they have damage to their trees, and want to be put at the top of the list. Which by the way, I completely understand, but then when a couple of ruts are left after working diligently in trying to make his property safe he is complaining {4 months later)ever, after we already explained what might happen.Thank you for your time and consideration concerning this matter.
