Thank you for submitting this requestI know there have been a few bumps along the way during this project but I hope that you are fully satisfied with the final productI would like to take this time to address the points that were made and bring our side of the story into this as wellThis
project has been completed and paid in full as of September 14th, per the electronic payment that we received from *** ***Each of the concerns were addressed as necessaryHowever, there is some discrepancy in some of the aforementioned itemsI would like to address each item individually, and I would like to bring up a couple other items that were not mentioned. The first item is the dining room chairsWe have documentation showing that the miter saw was resting on one of the dining room chairs not all six chairsIn addition, the dining room chairs were not used as a saw horse for cutting material. However, we agreed to compensate the *** family by refinishing the chairs so that they would release the final payment, which amounted to more than 30% of the total job sizeWe gave them the option to refinish the dining room chairs or to perform $worth of painting work in the home at no cost to themThe ***'s agreed to the painting work. The dishwasher door was broken and we suggested that, because the dishwasher was still under warranty, the ***'s contact the manufacturer to get the parts sent over so that it may be fixed. If the dishwasher door could not be fixed, then the manufacturer would have provided a new dishwasher per their warrantyThe broken lamp is something that we reimbursed the ***'s forWe found the same lamp in store and gave the ***'s a gift card with enough money to cover the purchase of a new lamp, as well as some additional items if necessaryAs mentioned in the previous message, this item was taken care ofRegarding the alcoholic drinks, we are extremely disappointed in the subcontractor that brought these onto our jobsiteWe were told by our subcontractor that the bottles/cans were in the beds of their trucks and they just threw them away at the residence that dayRegardless of that fact, it is completely unacceptable that these bottles were thrown away in the trash can at the *** residenceDue to this situation, we have recently implemented quality control and preconstruction checklists so that this will never be an issue on any of our future workRegarding the items that were said to be stolen, we have information from the police officer who filed the report invalidating these concerns completelyWe have documentation of each of these items, as well as the full conversations on recordLastly, there are a couple items that were not addressed that need to be mentioned so as to understand the full storyWe had several of our workers refuse to go back to work at this house because of how they were treated by the ***'sI understand that the construction process is very stressful, and we do our best to minimize that stress, but many of our workers and subcontractors would not return to the house because of how poorly they were treatedWe notified the ***'s in writing of this issue but there was no changeThis caused us to have to bring in new workers, which made the work slightly more complicatedIn the years that we have been in business I don't believe we have had this happen on any other jobWe still completed the work at the house, but this factor added one layer of complexity to the project. We were not paid the full amount that was agreed uponWe agreed to approxfive thousand dollars of additional work/change orders that we were not fully paid forThe additional work items After the change orders were approved, and after the work was completed to the ***'s satisfaction, we learned that we were not going to be paid the full amount on the change ordersAfter having several of our workers walk off the job site for how they were treated, we decided to reduce the dollar value of the change orders by several thousand dollars so that we could finalize the jobIt was only after the job was completed and we were paid that we found out some other news regarding payments from the ***'sIt seems as though we were not the only contractor taken advantage of by the ***sWe learned by having lunch with one of the suppliers that they were having issues collecting the final payment for material that was purchased. I would like to caution any other contractors from working at this residenceI know there have been bumps along the way, but at this point both parties have been satisfiedWe have completed the free work per the ***'s request, and we have reduced our contract value/change orders by several thousand dollars per the ***'s request, which is well over the amount requested in the aforementioned complaint

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:In regards to the response that I received through email I will address my concernsWith the chair situation, I have uploaded a few pictures showing otherwise to the response postedI have many other pictures of negligence on Millis Remodeling's subcontractor workI would be happy to upload them if requested and was only allocated four spots for uploadsMillis Remodeling did not give us any paperwork for free painting rather than refinishing our chairs and no signatures were requested from either party for doing soThe dishwasher door should not be up to us to have fixed because we did not break it and it was broken at some point in the remodeling process and left for us to findThe manufacturer should not have to pay for a broken door due to another company breaking itThe broken lamp was taken care of as agreed by both parties and I have text messages showing such if requestedThe alcoholic drinks is awfully hard to believe that the subcontractors just took empty bottles out of their trucks and unloaded them into our trash can and my wife smelled alcohol on their breathsThis is a little hard to believe on my endTo my knowledge, no worker was treated badly from our residence as we went out of our way to fill up gallon ozarka jugs to put into a water dispenser for the workers, offered to purchase them food, asked daily if they needed anything, etcWe never received anything in writing besides a txt message saying the workers were not coming back and only because a police report was filed due to stolen propertyWe never accused any specific subcontractor of the theft and just the general acknowledgement that numerous items were missingTj, our project manager encouraged us to file that police report as he stated he doesn't believe any of his workers would do such a thing and would like to get to the bottom of itEvery payment was made on time or early as agreed to each signed contractThe original contract was slightly altered because of changes to the scope of work, but nothing to our knowledge of having to pay any less and everything was according to the contractI can provide due dates, each contract that was signed and paid in full receipts if requestedTo our knowledge no contractor was ever taken advantage of as Millis Remodeling states and everyone has always been paid on timeEverything throughout this remodeling process has been documented because I am extremely cautious and heard horror stories about all types of similar incidencesI am available my phone, text or email if any questions arise or if either the Revdex.com or Millis Remodeling would like further documentation
