Georggin Law Reviews (15)

Review: I hired Georggin Law after speaking with [redacted] in detail by phone. I paid est $3000 in advance to retain their services after signing a contract in August 2012 to help expunge my credit. I have records of several emails confirming this, with an estimated completion of 120 days. They reportedly made some efforts and stated my case was 'calendared' as of August 2012. The last communication from them was Feb 8, 2013. They have since failed to respond to multiple emails and phone calls. My case was never taken to court as promised and paid for. As of today, they have essentially dropped off the face of the earth.Desired Settlement: Full refund of monies paid.

Review: I am writing to relay my experience with Georggin Law, located in Oceanside, CA. I retained this law firm to help me fix my credit score I had a foreclosure in Sept, 2011 (though even with the foreclosure I still retain credit scores over 700). I retained the firm in April of 2012 for a set fee of $2,986 to fix my credit, specifically to remove the foreclosure. Part of the process for addressing credit is contacting [redacted] of [redacted] and asking for their records on the matter this takes a considerable amount of time, which has nothing to do with Georggin Law.I was advised to take [redacted] of [redacted] to small claims court and my court case was scheduled for Dec 19th 2012. Georggin Law prepared the research for me, though of course in small claims I was required to actually present my case. The research was well done, though Georggin Law did make a major error with the omission of the first page of research for the judge this page contained the crux of my argument. However, I figured this out during the case and handed the judge my copy of the research. Had I not figured this out, the judge was clearly going to rule against me.The judge immediately awarded the case in my favor in the amount of $2,986.00 (my legal fees to Georggin Law) and came very close to insisting I ask for an additional penalty from [redacted] of [redacted].This is where my service from Georggin Law fell apart completely. [redacted] of [redacted] decided to appeal the case. This was the response from [redacted], my contact person at the Georggin Law, with the following email:Hey [redacted],Yes I got it, can't believe they filed for the appeal. I have submitted asubstitution of attorney so you will now be represented by Georggin Law. Iwill get a hold of our litigating attorney to advise him on the case.[redacted]Georggin Law 2103 S. El Camino RealSTE 201Oceanside, CA 92054Phone: ###-###-#### Fax: ###-###-#### I was supposed to appear at the appeal on 3/25/2013 with [redacted] (or another representative from Georrgin Law) and their litigating attorney. In addition, I was supposed to meet with the team at Georggin Law in the days leading up to the appeal to prep for the case. None of my calls or emails leading up to the appeal were returned, and the prep meeting did not happen. The appeal was in Superior Court and we were facing a team from [redacted] of [redacted]. The trial was set for 8:30 am, and I woke up with a message stating I would be alone, without representation from Georggin Law. Additionally, I was left without any type of preparation or documentation for the case. Needless to say I lost the appeal.I specifically hired this law firm for this specific day, and they left me to the wolves. But it gets worse. Over the next few weeks I was unable to reach the firm by email or phone. I finally got through, where I was transferred to speak with [redacted] with [redacted] in the background. I was informed [redacted] had been hired by the firm to help with their client relations. Apparently the firm was receiving many complaints re: updates, etc. Though I had problems reaching the firm the entire time leading up to this point, I was diligent in my efforts, so I eventually was always able to get answers. However, it was NEVER easy to reach Georggin Law.[redacted] promised to give me a weekly update on my case and assured me we would still be able to get the foreclosure removed from my credit. Since my last name began with an S, my update would be on Thursdays. I only received one email after this phone call, and it was an email answering my inquiries on why I was not receiving my weekly updates. Finally on Monday, June 10th, after no communication from the firm, I drove to Oceanside to see them in person. The ineptitude and gross incompetence of Georggin Law, on a relatively straightforward case was simply stunning. I was willing to let them refund my money and part ways (though of course I really have no recourse to fix the foreclosure on my credit report now that the firm wrecked [redacted] of [redacted]s appeal). The front door was locked, the lights were off and their main phone line simply went straight to voicemail. My father was an attorney, then a Federal Judge. Ive worked with many attorneys over my lifetime, all of whom worked hard, did competent work and were honorable individuals. My comments here are not meant to be libelous or impeach anyones integrity, but when a company takes money for a service, they need to do the work. If a product is not delivered, a refund should be given. And in my opinion, this isnt as simple as delivering a CD to someone this is in regards to my credit. My credit affects my entire life and was not cared for the very people hired to help me.There needs to be some type of consequence for this type of behavior. I am available to speak at ###-###-####.Sincerely,[redacted]Desired Settlement: refund of the amount I paid the firm

Review: To whom it may concern:On September 12, 2012 I hired attorney [redacted] and his firm Georggin Law and Associates in Oceanside, CA. I was actually referred by a friend of ours that is a Realtor in San Diego. I was put on a three month payment plan to pay a total fee of $2,971.00. 1st payment was $990.00 due on 09-12-2012 2nd payment was due 10-03-2012 and the 3rd payment was due 11-05-2012. I was told initially that we have a very strong case and that our case would take no more than 3 months if any. Once the last payment was made I was not getting any calls from the attorney I was dealing with one of his assistant by the name of [redacted]. It was then when I started getting all this crazy turnaround times. I was told that [redacted] was behind and that the firm needed confirmation from [redacted] that they had received all correspondence. Few weeks later I was dealing 2 other different representatives at the firm by the name of [redacted] & [redacted]. Well when I had a conversation with Mr. [redacted] he was very unprofessional he had no respect for us and had no clue in regards to the status of our case. I then emailed and called [redacted] that I no longer wanted to be pushed around the office that I only wanted to deal with him only. I probably send multiple emails and called multiple times to follow up and yet no response. It seems that by this time Mr. [redacted] got tired of rejecting my calls or ignoring my emails and thats when he then decided to call me back. When he called back he seemed a bit concerned that no one was able to assist us at all and he had promised to push our file so we can set a court date ASAP. We then explained to Mr. [redacted] that I myself and husband were no interested in dealing with no one else but him in his firm he said that this was not going to be a problem and that e will make sure that we got this closed immediately. November past December Past January past February past and still nothing. I called him again and express to him all my concerns I told him that I was not happy with his services at all and that I felt that his firm and him took advantage of our situation. Mr. [redacted] had a phone conversation with my spouse Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] told my spouse that he still had no court date and that it can possibly take another 3 months. I feel that we kept getting false promises over and over again. This firm was paid for their services and they did not comply per contract. Finally I got and email back from [redacted] at the law firm informing that I was leaving on vacation starting May 6, 2013 till May 12, 2013. It was then when [redacted] replied and said oh by the way that is actually that court date we have for you on the time of our vacation. I then told my husband that they were just trying to buy time. I got a separate email stating that court was set for May 16, 2013 at 1:30pm at Stanley Most Courthouse in Los Angeles, CA and I was also told that someone from their office will call us and tell us what exactly will happen at court and that Mr. [redacted] will represent us at court on this date. Few days before court date May 16, 2013 I called and emailed the attorneys office reminding them that I still have not heard from them. This people had no courtesy at all to return emails or calls. My husband and I went to court on May, 16, 2013 to fight the case against [redacted] and there was a no show from my attorney. All my evidence to fight this case was on the hands of the attorney [redacted]. We must of called maybe 50 times on May 16, 2013 and emailed several times and no answer. I asked the Judge Secretary if there was any way that we can re schedule the court since our attorney was a no show luckily we were told yes our next court date is schedule on August 27, 2013 at 1:30pm. Im scared that I lost money and that this firm has all our personal information. I have lost money and time from work. Once we got the extension from court we drove straight to the attorney office and just our luck they dont seem to work from the address shown on their business cards. The only reason that this firm were hired by us was to have them removed incorrect information from our credit report since we had a short sale done in 2010. [redacted] did fraud on our [redacted] and thats why we hired attorney [redacted] and his firm. This company took advantage of us and walked away with our money it has been like 9 months and still nothing. I probably call the firm 4 to 5 times a day ever since May 16, 2013 and it goes straight to voice mail. I will really appreciate if someone can help me recuperate my money from this attorney and I have no idea how to move forward. On the top of this page I have added my mobile number please call me.Desired Settlement: I WILL LIKE TO GET MY MONEY BACK THAT WAS PAID FOR THEIR SERVICES AND I HOPE THAT THEY CAN NO LONGER DO BUSINESS OUT THERE. THEY STOLE FROM US AND I WISH THAT THEY DON'T DO THIS TO NO ONE ELSE

Review: The law firm has not and will not return call, I have requested a refund per the retainer agreement and yet no response. As of Nov 2011 the service that I hired the law firm have not been performed, several paralegals have been assigned to my case and yet no resolution. The firm, employees will not answer calls or return emails. I have filed a complaint with the State Bar of California. I have also sent a certified letter to the companies mailing address and no response. I would like to resolve my complain with the Georggin Law if at all possible.I would like a refund per section 6 of the attorney retainer in the amount of $11,925.00Desired Settlement: I would like a refund per section 6 of the attorney retainer in the amount of $11,925.00

Review: On 01 April, 2011 I entered A Legal Services Aggreement with georggin law for legal services in the removal of a Short Sale from My credit history. the Aggreement had a retainer fee of $1825 plus $81.00 for court filing fees (I was never contacted about a court case being filed) and stated that if unable to get the short sale removed from my credit history the retainer fee would be refunded 100% with a written request. The process was to first, request removal from the mortgage creditor who issued the short sale, and then request removal from the credit bureaus, and then if still not corrected, open a court case against the mortgage creditor. After over a year and a half of calls and email to requesting status of my case with no appropriate response, on 25 April 2013 I sent a letter requesting a refund for services not rendered. I received a phone call return from Mr. Georggin stating that he had to look further into my case and he would get back to me, however, I never heard back from him. When I called again, I was refered to a Mr. Phillips who stated he would confer with Mr. georggin and have him call me back. Now after 2 months, I have sent out a second written request for the refund in accordance with the contract, but at this time, I have no confidence that I will get a response from this Agency.Desired Settlement: Full refund In accordance with the Legal Services Agreement.

Review: I signed a contract with Georggin Law in August of 2012. I needed help removing a foreclosuer that was being report incorrectly. I spoke with [redacted] and he to me this would be resolved in 90 days. I paid $ 1,800 and he claimed this was a discount because I was in the Military. So, later down the road I had another credit issue, because I was going through a divorce and the court ordered me to short sale my current home at the time. I then retain Georggin Law to handle this also. At which time I was told it could be handled for $1,700. My girlfriend had some credit issues also and we paid another $1,800 to repair her credit. After January 2013 the line of communication went down help. I have tons of emails that were sent requesting an update. It wasn't until yesterday that I found out from an former employee [redacted] that he was being looked at by the FBI and was under investorgation. All we want is to make it known that we were riped off also. I went able to locate an home number for the owner [redacted] ###-###-####. He refused to take our call. Maybe you can get some answers from this crook. We had proof of all money paid and emails begging for any updates.Desired Settlement: We would like a FULL refund and jail time for the owner and employees they had to know this was a SCAM

Review: After repeated failed attempts at contacting members of this firm handling our case (to include [redacted]), I am requesting a full refund of our retainer ($3697).My wife and I signed the retainer for this firms representation on our property on June 21, 2012. Mr. [redacted] misrepresentations to me of this case being resolved in 120 days have proven to be false since it has been almost one year with zero progress. Also, some questionable activity was conducted by members of this firm's staff which raises issue of this firms intention in truly assisting us. When Tom was assigned our case in the fall of 2012, he requested my login and password to Experian in order to obtain my credit report. Thereafter, he changed my login ID and password without my permission and never provided us a reason.Further, I have called this firm monthly for status reports and have constantly been told by different members of their staff that the court date is being pushed forward another month because the courts were backed up. I requested status emails from members of their staff ([redacted]) with no response. Only in the past few months did I realize that my case was never even filed in small claims court. On April 10, 2013, I spoke to [redacted] who stated she had taken over the case and asked me for two weeks in order to secure a court date. After no response from [redacted], I called her again on May 2, 2013. She stated she was no longer working my case but that in order to get an earlier court date because the courts are backed up, I would need to e-file at my own expense. We already paid the firm $3675 to handle our case. So filing at our own expense came as a surprise. [redacted] also stated that the firm had success with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and that she would file our case on May 6, 2013. To date, nothing has been filed in court or to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau by the firm with no response from them. They won't even answer the phone during normal business hours.Desired Settlement: Refund of 100% retainer ($3675) as provided in the contract.

Review: I signed a contract with Georggin Law to repair my repair after my shortsale...and to execute a judicial expungement of the shortsale. A full refund was promised if they were unsuccessful in the shortsale removal and credit repair. Initially communication was great, with updates and next steps well outlined. This lasted about 4-5 months, then all correspondence stopped. It has been well over a year nowThe last email sent from them they blamed state budget cuts on less available court dates. I have since sent dozens of emails and left dozens of phone messages, ALL OF THEM IGNOREDDesired Settlement: I would like a refund as promised. I There was some work done at the very beginning of the process by them, so I would be open to discussing a partial refund so they are compensated for their initial work.Thank you

Review: The Law Firm of Georggin Law told us they could remove the short sale of our house, from our credit reports by going to court. We have them $2,991. $96 was for court filing and $20 went to credit reports. A payment was made on January 18th, 2013 in the amount of $1495.50 and the second payment was made on February 19th, 2013.As of today, June 24th, 2013 we cannot get a hold of anyone from Georggin Law. We left multiple voice messages and sent numerouse e-mails...with no replies. Went to office several times and the door was locked and no one it. Last time we went to the office was on June 18th.Desired Settlement: We already wasted 6 months and would like a refund for not receiving any services.

Review: I hired this firm to help clear up some credit matters. Within a few months they promised we would be heading to court to try to get the matters cleared up. They said they were all ready to file in court although they did not show me any court filing documents. I have emailed them in upwards of 6 times asking for documents, court dates etc. They never responded with a reply. I have asked them repeatedly for a refund of my fees paid as they were not preforming as specified again not reply. I feel their services are not valid, I want a refund of all fees and no one responds.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for services not preformed. Refund amount to be $3687.00

Review: Hired Georggin Law for credit repair services, and to execute a judicial expungement of my forecloures. They offered a full refund if they were unsuccessful in the expungement and credit repair. The lender on my second, offered a settlement with an expiration date. I asked Georggin to settle, but found out that they never even contacted the lender to execute the settlement. After 1 year of waiting, went to small claims court and did not win. I wrote and called on several occassions to ask for a refund. On one occassion, they said they would be able to offer a refund in payments, $1000, and payments of $750 afterwards. I asked to send the agreement in writing. Been 5 days, and no response. I will file a complaint with the state bar.Desired Settlement: Full refund of my legal fees as promised per contract.

Review: We signed 3 separate agreements with Georggin Law in 2012 for 3 homes we gave back to the bank via short sale. The Georggin Law attorney we spoke with gave us a verbal and written guarantee (in our contracts) that they would be successful removing the derogatory credit rating. We went to court on 2 of the accounts early 2013 and the Los Angeles Judge was actually annoyed and displeased that we were there requesting that our credit be changed. He said it would never be changed and it was against the law to do so. Georggin Law knew this and entered into an agreement with us that they knew they would never be successful with. We paid over $10,000 to this law firm and are requesting a refund as per our written, signed Georggin Law contract! When we finished court early 2013, Georggin Law said to give them 45 days to see if they could do one last thing to change our credit. It's been over 60 days. They will not respond to our requests in email or phone. Now we are forced to take this route and garner help from various entities, such as the Revdex.com. We will take whatever means necessary to make sure this firm honors their contractual agreements. It's really unbelievable that a professional, law firm would handle their professional business clients and agreements in this fashion. We are due a refund of $8,800.00 per our contract with Georggin Law for the amount paid by us (less court filing fees) per our contract.Desired Settlement: Per the contract, we are entitled to a refund of $8,512 after court filing fees are deducted.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

There are 3 cases, two of which have not been finalized and one that THEY said they will not refund until they go through the motions. We have no court date associated with the [redacted] of [redacted] account. I asked for evidence that they submitted another step to the consumer protection division and they did not respond (which is typical of them). Therefore, until they show and prove they are waiting on another step, this situation is not resolved by any means. Quite frankly, I'm tired of the lack of professionalism and response.

to [redacted], me

Even though you lost the first case, we submit to consumer financial protection bureau for clearance. Submission is complete and we are waiting for their decision. This is our backup protocol to the court action. If we don’t get a favorable response, we will close your case and issue a refund. Re your second property; you have instructed georggin to stop working on that file and are requesting a refund. Georggin doesn't refund simply per your request. We have to have a resolution, court or cfpb. Please advise

I never instructed you to stop working on the [redacted] of [redacted] case. I said that per the Los Angeles Judge, you will not be successful, so why bother. If you think you can be successful, then by all means.

What is the time frame on the consumer financial protection bureau? When was something submitted and when do you hear back? I'd like you to verify submission with me to the consumer financial protection bureau.

we have spoken to mrs [redacted] addressed her concerns and are moving forward with her case

Review: Complaint involves more than a Customer Service Issue. I acquired there services back in October of 2011. The so called Team of credit representatives were to provide me with a customized effective credit restoration plan, removing negative remarks (Short Sale)from all three credit agencies. No follow up, no return calls and no service what so ever. Georggin Law was running a scam under an individual by the name of [redacted] is not an attorney and lied about have a CA Bar#. After further investigations ,[redacted] is a scam artist and has been charged by the FTC in the past. If you lost your case in court they guaranteed a 100% refund. All a lie. Once I paid for there services I never heard back from a single soul. They took my money and ran. This Firm you should be shut down and [redacted] should go to jail for ethic violations and stealing from hard working people.Desired Settlement: Refund my money as they guaranteed. For Revdex.com information and Public information as well.

this is [redacted] I am not nor have I ever represented myself as an attorney when you google the name [redacted], an [redacted] attorney pops up that is clearly not me. as far as his case goes, mr [redacted] has been informed every step of the way. he has been to our office several times for coaching and updates. as far as his his defamatory comments about me, I once ran californias largest credit repair agency. it along with all other credit repair agencies were investigated in 2008. no charges have ever been filed against me. back to his case. as is our procedure, if client loses a case in court, then we automatically file with the CFPB. this has been done and we are waiting for the results. if the results are negative, mr [redacted] will be issued a refund per his signed agreement.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The response from [redacted] is a complete lie. I've been to the GL office one time and that was back in October 2011. The only reason for the visit was to submit my retainer fee for GL services. To this very date I have not received coaching or follow updates from this firm regarding my case. Than again, I am not surprised by the response. I had a court date set for March 25, 2013, only to be told [via email, not a phone call, days or weeks before] the day before my court date, the individual handling my case would not be present. [redacted] explained the whole process would be settled with in 3 to 6 months. I was GUARANTEED by [redacted] a 100% favorable outcome for their clients and if no settlement is reached a 100% money back guarantee on the spot". I had no representation on my court date. A complete waste of my time, gas and money. I will not accept any response from GL regarding this complaint until I have a refund check in hand. Shame on the Georggin Law for lying to me and others who fell victim to this firm..

Review: I paid georggin law almost 3,000 for services that address my short sales. Georggin Law filed the claim in San Diego Superior court. The judge ruled that thet the case was filed in the wrong court and ruled that the claim was baseless. I requested a refund under the agreement we signed and the advertised guarntee that a refund would be provided if the courts ruled against the claim. I called [redacted]. Wrote to [redacted]. Sent emails to [redacted] to refund my money. ALL REQUEST WENT UNANSWERED.Desired Settlement: FULL REFUND!!

Review: I signed up with Georggin law in 2011 to get help in removing negative reporting from my credit reports. The agreement was based on 100% refund if they could not remove negative reporting, minus the court fee. Georggin Law provided pretty bad service, dragged matter and eventually failed in resolving negative reporting. After lots of follow up, in Oct 2012, they agreed to refund about 65% of my money. Since that day, they have not been able to refund a single penny. They continue making promises but practically don't follow up on commitments. I also agreed on a payment plan to help them but they failed again. It's extremely hard to get hold of officials in this company.Desired Settlement: Georggin Law needs to fulfill their contractual obligation and refund my money
