Georgia Blue Foot and Ankle Reviews (%countItem)

I have a 17-year-old son ***, who is a senior in high school that has participated in the Army JROTC program for four years. My son enrolled in the Army Delayed Entry Program while a senior. His Army Recruiter took him to the Atlanta Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) on January 11, 2020, for his physical examination. My son was evaluated with flat feet and needed a physician clearance in order to be accepted into the Military. I, *** scheduled a medical appointment at Georgia Blue Foot and Ankle for January 20, 2020, to get the required medical clearance to join the US Army as recommended by MEPS. We live in North Fulton County and drove over 45 minutes to Douglasville, GA. I was required to pay $195 instead of them accepting the medical insurance that was provided. X-rays were taken of my son's feet and Dr. Danielle *** stated that he had the feet of a 40 plus-year-old man with arthritis and a fracture. She also stated that my son will require surgery. The doctor advised me that she typically would provide a letter at the end of the visit but could not due to the multitude of patients she had to see. I called the doctor's office on January 20, 2020, after leaving the visit to inquire how much the surgery would cost, along with my son's medical records. I was advised that my son could not have surgery at this time due to his growth plates not beingfully developed. On January 24, 2020, I called Dr. Danielle *** at Georgia Blue Foot and Ankle to follow-up on medical documentations I had requested copies of the examination previously. Until today, no records were released to me. The service I received was subpar and unacceptable. I was advised to get a second opinion and see a doctor within my medical network. That physician also took x-rays of my son's foot. This physician found no arthritis nor any fractures plus my service experience was excellent. It is clear that Dr. Danielle *** was looking at another patient's x-rays.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I don't wish to be charged retail for a service that would typically be covered by medical insurance.

Dear Ms.,

I am applaud at your over exaggeration of the problem. This is a HIPPA Violation to discuss the patients care on my end, but I will provide the proper information since you already stated his problem. Your son presented with a pes planus and severe arthritis of the midfoot with a fracture present. IF you are unsure of this diagnosis , I would love for a Radiologist to review my XRAY with you . I invite you to obtain a copy of the images. Since they are also experts on reading xrays. When requesting medical records, I asked you to sign a release of information so that the recruiter could pick up his medical records. You never came by or returned my phone calls for his medical records to be released. I also advised the recruiter to come by and pick them up and he advised me he would. He never came by! YOU are more than welcome to come and get them. It is illegal for me to EMAIL/FAX you medical records because it is a HIPPA violation. I am able to read xrays without a problem and I am very well versed in this area. I apologize for you waiting 45 minutes for your appointment. We track appointment times and your wait was not listed as 45 minutes. The $195 payment was the deductible required by BCBS. So please contact them regarding this payment. Yu didn't require any payment by he other physician because you met your deductible at this point. SO this is FALSE. The claim was ran through your insurance and I will further contact my lawyer for releasing False information and defamation. AS far as surgery, I wouldn't recommend a flatfoot reconstruction because your son is entering the army and this would definitely take him out of rotation. Second opinions are great, when the best interests of child is looked out for. I will not make up false information for your child to pursue a career that may not beneficial for his condition. I NEVER said his growth plates were not fully developed. I didn't say typically until 18 , his growth plates are still closing. You may refer to research and articles for this information. I am a great doctor and my patients love me. Although you may have come for me, I am protected from this nonsense and cover by GODS love and blood. No weapon formed against me shall prosper and I rebuke this false information in *** name. SO in the future when reporting my company to the Revdex.com, please be sure to state facts and have evidence to support your claim.
