Georgia Collateral Recovery Bureau Reviews (4)

First of all the customer was treated with utmost respectWe had already notated the allegded damage on the condition report and pictures that were taken right after the unit was on or lotThe debtor claimed that there was $dollars missing which he found in his wallet while looking for perscription narcotics that he claimed were missing, which we called law enforcement here to our office to fill out a report which they refused to do since he had no prove that any pills were missing and that it could be a means for him to get extra pills, especially since he seemed so aggitated about the pills. The ower [redacted] was present for most of the situation and was very polite to both of them untill the woman started using profanity when the owner explainled that the video recordings that are recorded at the time of repossesion are only stored for approxciamatly hours and they had waited several days to redeem their carAt this time [redacted] said he was done trying to help them and asked them to leave his facilities. We have been in buissness for over years and are not in the buissness of treating people unfairlyThe law enforcement officer was suprised that [redacted] had continued to be polite to both of them for so long even after they started using profanity. We did no damage to the car nor did we steal anything from their car,so we have nothing else to discuss with them

Ga. Recovery seems to be subjective to their recollection of the events that occurred on that day. The ladies in the office was polite until questions arose .i.e. our request to visually inspect our vehicle for damage and content. This request was refused, as stated in initial complaint. Upon paying the fees, they pulled out the vehicle. To some degree I can understand this. They was advised up front that we suspected damage to the vehicle due to the damage the tow truck created in the driveway and we offered up pictures of our suspicions. At NO time did they mention that they took pictures of vehicle prior to towing. She stated it depended upon the driver. Video surveillance was on the tow vehicles, per the office manager . Taking pictures on their property after being towed 35 +/- miles , does not indicate that damage was not done while in tow or their possession. Upon receiving our vehicle out of their lot is when we done a quick inspection and inventory of our vehicle. At this time is when we brought to Ga. Recovery attention of missing money. As stated earlier the amount was $20.00 not $10.00 as they stated in their rebuttal. As for the medication, my concerns was that a narcotic did not wind up in someone's hands that may cause harm or even death. This was also expressed to the Law Enforcement Officer. Ga. Recovery also did not bring up the false documentation of their records reference to a firearm from their "Inventory List". The poor documentation, damage to vehicle , mixed story of events and the way Ga. recovery does business is the primary reason for filing initial complaint. The owner's negative attitude, unwilling to discuss our concerns and refusal to follow up with it's customer , did not help the situation.
