Georgiano flooring agreed to renovate my home through an fha 203k loan. The contract began on oct 26, 2018. It was a 2 month job. However, the contract allowed 90 days. There were about 20 line items of work to be done. On each line item, the contract allows for x amount of $ for material and. X amount of $ for labor. On nearly every line item the contractors used much less than the allotted material money. When I asked for receipts, they refused to show them to me. In addition, they used materials that I specifically asked them not to use. In addition, they they told me it would cost $2500 for HVAC. Then they said they made a mistake and it would cost between $14,000 and $ 27,000. There was not enough money in my loan to cover this. They said it was not their fault. The contract stated they were to be paid in 5 increments. After each payment, they are to submit cost savings or overages. They did neither and there were plenty of cost savings. For example, they filled out the government document stating they spent $2000 on electric, $700 on windows, and $1000 on permits. They did not do any electric or windows and only spent $90 on permits: totally $3700 on work NOT performed. They also charged $4000 for mild remediation. The FHA loan required a certified mold remediator complete the job. They are not certified and did the mold themselves. They got paid and then the mold failed inspection and my basement is left with mold. Of February 28th, 2019, we mediated . They did not like the results of mediation and did not do any work for over 5 weeks. On April 5, they forfeited ( quit ) several of the line items that would complete the job. Now, they are requesting $3800 for extra work they did including $200 for installing a used toilet now with stains, broken a different color and does not fit the toilet. Also other stuff with no receipts, no billable hours.: just random numbers. And did not fill out appropriate paperwork. Now, I can get a new contractor to finish work.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2015/07/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The prices were not up frontYes, the prices are on bill, but you don't get the bill until you've paid and a receipt is emailed to youI don't pay to get someone to my doorI pay for services renderedA service call is a tech coming to my home, diagnosing the problem and at that point, services are renderedThere was no water leak prior to tech visitDon't believe that I had leak prior to tech visit, but no leak during diagnostic test, then leak again after installation of heater assemblyThe technician came into my home, diagnosed the problem, told me I needed a heater assembly and it would cost to repairI had the heater assembly installed because that's what the tech said I needed to repair my washerWhen he returned and installed the heater assembly and found that that didn't rectify the problemThen I was told that now it was water leak that would cost me an additional No opportunity to cancel was ever offeredThis is not a process of elimination at my expenseIf I knew what was wrong with my washer, I would not need a technicianThe technician clearly displayed his incompetenceI am out of and my washer was still in the same condition as it was before I called this companyI had to pay additional money to get my washer repaired and was told that I didn't even need an heater assemblyI want a full refund of my The bill was 289.20, but tech didn't have change
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 21, 2015/08/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Prices maybe printed on receipt, but this company is guilty of deceptive practices on initial contact in order to get tech in homeClearly, I'm not one of their so-called satisfied customersI will accept 50% of the $I paid$

Sorry we could not make this customer happy. Fire department removed dryer from unit and had sitting in garage. We were hired to clean the dryer vent to the outside because the blockage contributed to the fire in the dryer. We vacuummed out...

the dryer and also installed new belt at customers request.Total for dryer work $60.00. Upon leaving tech noticed customer struggling to bring dryer back into unit and helped hand carry dryer over countertop, stove, washer and drop back into hole at no charge. This work was done on 5/15/2015. Customer called back on 8/15/2015 stating dryer was not working Tech did an inspection and called owner with a price to fix. Landlord was abusive and refused to even pay the diagnostic fee. Tech was told to leave the premises immediately. Very willing to come back and finish the job if wanted. Did not take the belt. Would be happy to replace belt after being paid for our services. As for leaving the dryer apart, it needs to be fixedwhy put it back together only to tear it down againno matter if we fix it or some other company. If not fixed, easier to dispose of. Do not see the problem here.
Our company has been servicing for over 35 years with thousands of satisfied customers. Sorry this client is not happy.
