This is one of the most incompetent companies I have had to deal with in the wake of my mother's passing last year, and that's really saying somethingI sold my mother's house, and this company continues to stymie every attempt I am making at canceling the insuranceThey ask for a power of attorney, apparently unaware that a POA expires upon a person's deathI sent a death certificate and a copy of the will, and just found out that instead of sending me the balance due for a refund, they have sent a letter to my mother (causing me more sorrow and trauma) in care of me, something about amending her policyHow can they not understand either a death certificate, a will, or a cover letter saying the house is sold and requesting a refundAre they that incompetent or are they just trying to keep the rest of the money? Do they do this to everyone, or has no customer ever passed away before?

Having experienced water damage cause by a faulty hot water heater , I was told it would be to hrs as of the next business day before an adjuster could see me Well this happened on a Friday night and as of Tuesday night I did not hear from anyone concerning my water damaged homeI ended up calling companies myself to handle this issueWhen I did call to complain , They gave me phone numbers to call their peopleI told them I pay them to help me Not the other way around..Well as you see I am very unhappy with this company and am looking elsewhere Oh yeah, Not having hot water and water pressure for tub and shower for days is really no fun

Geovera was notified prior to the original date of complaint 5/8/with Revdex.com that the check had not been receivedOver days have passed *** the policy cancelation, at this time I am yet to receive repayment of policy premium and again requesting that the monies dues for the policy be refunded via check sent overnightThis will follow by a formal complaint with the Insurance Commissionors office

After being a consumer with insurance from GeoVera for many years, we had NO claims. Our policy payment was received after the policy expiration date. The payment was accidently late by about 6 days. They returned our check, stating that coverage was not in place, and that the insurance was cancelled. BUT, they did us a HUGE favor. Our Agent got coverage with a HIGHER RATED COMPANY. And, more importantly, the coverage is $700 LESS per year. GeoVera did us a huge favor by cancelling our policy.

What follows is a high level summary of events regarding changes and communication on Mr. [redacted]'s policy.
On December 10, 2015, Mr. [redacted]'s insurance agent called GeoVera and stated that Mr. [redacted] had made changes to the "Request...

Changes to Property Details" form removing items but the coverage/premium increased. GeoVera advised the agent that the form also included some additions. The agent was also advised that a reduction in coverage form was available. A copy of the Amended Declarations and an Insured Request to Reduce Coverage Limit form were emailed to the agent.
On December 22, 2015, GeoVera received a signed Insured Request to Reduce Coverage Limit form. The reduction in coverage limit was being processed, but not completed due to Mr. [redacted] requesting that his policy be cancelled.
On December 23, 2015 GeoVera reached out to Mr. [redacted]'s agent to confirm that Mr. [redacted] would like to cancel his policy. The agent confirmed that Mr. [redacted] does not wish to have a policy with GeoVera. On that same date, a cancellation letter was sent to Mr. [redacted] notifying him of the cancellation of his policy effective November 30, 2015.
On December 28, 2015 GeoVera sent Mr. [redacted] a premium refund check in the amount of $541.00.
We trust that the cancellation of the policy and the generation of the premium refund check resolves the matter.
