In response to this complaint, I apologize for any inconvenience however product defects are covered by the manufacturers warranties. Alside, the manufacturer of this window has changed their protocol regarding warranty claims. I recommend the homeowner contact Alside directly at their local branch....

I have contacted the manufacture. They confirmed that they do warrantee their product. They would send out a rep at a cost of $125.00 to review the window in question. I was able to provided them with the order number on the window frame.  They were able to identify the original window order and offered to replace the window at no charge.  I would be responsible for the installation or pay an installation fee. I chose to attempt to replace it myself. The order for the replacement widow was placed at approximately 10:00 in the morning. A few hours later, I received a phone call from another company rep saying the window in question was already ordered and picked up a few months earlier. I assured them that I did not receive the replacement window. I was told back in March of 2015 by Western New York Installers that they would order a replacement window and install it within a few weeks. This was never done. Only after many months of waiting and numerous phone calls it was then I decided to contact the Revdex.com. It is/was apparent that W.N.Y.Installer has a replacement window but never contacted me for the installation of the window. I picked up a new replacement window on Friday, Nov. 20 from Alside windows. They did not charge for the window. I will attempt to install it myself in better weather. I believe I was lied to and ignored by W.N.Y. Installers for no apparent reason. I believe I have a legitimate complaint that should not be overlooked and documented with the Revdex.com. I await any further correspondence from you and W.N.Y. Installers.

This past spring I was contacted by the homeowner re. a defect in his approx. 7 year old window (which was warranted by the manufacturer, not by me). In an effort to save the homeowner the manufacturers $125 inspection fee, I went to his home, measured and ordered unit (No charge for my time!).  I was later told that the unit had arrived at Alside, but I never took delivery. In defense of Alside, they were in the process of relocating their massive operation to another facility. It is possible that the unit was misplaced or delivered to another contractor. Again, I apologize to the homeowner for any inconvenience, but at no time was it my intent to deceive. Sincerely, Randy S[redacted] WNY INSTALLERS.
