Owner is very rude and abusive and claims his employees dont make mistakes
Sorry *** had a problem when she put up her opener on the door we installed , I guess we could have stayed at her home till she went out and bought her opener 2 weeks later then showed her how to install it for free ,, instead of giving her a free service call the day after she called , and rehung her Home Depot do. It your self project ,for her properly , again free of charge some people are never happy
Cold air comes in - across the top of the door. Outside light can be seen across the top of the door. Door makes a lot of noise - up and down. When high winds blow - the sides of door blow in.

I am writing in reference to a complaint filed by *** in regards to her door. She did pay us to install the door and was satisfied with the door when my men left the site. She then called several times for issues/repairs that I sent men out to observe and fix where we can. Garage doors will show some light through the doors white trim but be assured all rubber molding that touch the door is as tight as it can be to function. Garage doors are not water proof and water will seep in through the rubber molding on the bottom during heavy rains. We also fixed the opener to make it quieter. I am sorry that she was still not satisfied after all that we did for her. If you need anything else, please let me know.

The ID of my complaint is ***.Mr. G stated that I complained about water coming in at the bottom of the door and light being seen through the door. He also stated that they fixed the opener. These statements are not true.There is a space at the top of the door where the guy, who installed the door, filled it in with a piece of wood because the new door is smaller than my old one. When the door is closed, it does not meet at the top. That is where the light is coming in. With that said, there is a one inch gap across the top of the door. This is what I want repaired.Any time a worker comes here, when I’ve called, never fixes anything. All I get are excuses or explanation of why there is no problem. One worker knew what needed to be fixed but had to find out how to get it done. He said he would get back to me. I waited two weeks and called back again. I was given a bad time by the guy who answered the phone.My brother has been here with me whenever I have someone here to work. He was also here when they installed the door. Perhaps Mr. G needs to come to my home and see, for himself, what the problem is.

I AM ATTACHING PICTURES OF THE DOOR AND THE TRIM (WHICH WILL SHOW LIGHT THROUGH'IT DUE TO IT BEING WHITE) YOU CAN SEE THE DOOR ITSELF IS IN PLACE AND HAS NO GAPS BETWEEN THEM. MY MEN DO NOT LEAVE A JOB SITE WITHOUT THE DOOR OR OPENER WORKING. I AM NOT SURE WHY THE OPENER IS NOW AN ISSUE, IT WAS WORKING WHEN MY MEN LEFT THE SITE. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT A GARAGE DOOR IS NOT A WALL AND WATER WILL COME INTO THE GARAGE REGARDLESS Of THE STOP MOLDING IF YOUR DRIVEWAY IS UNEVEN OR THE RAIN FALL IS HEAVY. IF YOU STILL HAVE OTHER ISSUES IN REGARDS TO THIS CUSTOMER PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Dear ***:I am writing about a response to my complaint against Gerald L. Giel Garage Doors, Inc. The ID of my complaint is ***.This has been going on for almost two months now and it's obvious that Mr. G doesn’t want to understand my problem I’m not sure which customer of his has an issue with their door opener or water coming into their garage, but it’s not me. The faxed “photos” that are supposedly of my garage door are unrecognizable. They are very poor in quality and I don’t recall anyone coming here taking photos; unless they did this while I wasn’t home. The only issue I have is that there is a gap along the top where there should not be a gap. The door should be sealed at the top and it’s not.I’m tired of dealing with Mr. G. He is a poor business man that does not treat his customers very well when there is fault found in his work. I would definitely not recommend him to anyone wanting to purchase a garage door. If I had to rate him, I would give him zero stars out of five. Buyer beware!
