He could/should have made this inquiry before the day of his scheduled appointment at amHe knew that his insurance had changed, we did not, until he arrived at his 9:AM appointmentUpon learning of his insurance change, the office manager had her assistant immediately get on the phone to obtain the information for the patientWe cannot simply call the insurance company and get an immediate responseInsurance companies, in reality, respond faster to the patients than they do to dental officesWhen we learned the information requested by the patient, we immediately informed the patientThis patient has indeed failed to make any payment on his bill since thenThis patient has indeed gone to another dental office. This office did nothing wrong at allThis patient came to a dental appointment knowing that he did not know what his new insurance coverage wasWe do not know all and see allWe must have adequate information from patientsThis patient should be angry with himself, not usHe knew, we didn’t knowIf we make a mistake, it is our mistakeIf a patient makes a mistake, it is their mistakeWe retract the offered discountsThank you, *** ***, D.D.SRevdex.com *** *** To whom it may concern, Adam had us schedule his appointment in our office with Dr ***, a specialist who only comes to our office by request for an implantDr *** travels from office to office and is on a tight scheduleWe cannot wait on insurance companies before starting on patient’s appointmentsThis should be handled before the appointed timeAdam’s new insurance had taken effect on 9/01/one month before his appointmentWe were unware of his insurance change until he checked into the office at 9:00am on 10/01/Adam could have called his insurance company and check on implant benefits or called us ahead of time and we would have been happy to check on it for himDuring Adam’s appointment he never asked if implants were covered on his new plan or even showed concern if they were or notWhen Adam was checking out we informed him that we just get off the phone with his insurance company and they do not cover implantsWe gave him a $discount, $off the implant and $off his bone graftWe also worked out an in-office payment plan with him which is against our office policyWe did all this to work with himHe has yet to make one payment on his account as he agreed to per his payment planBelow are my email correspondents with Adam for your reviewThanks, Laura Wood, Office Manager
