I had to go to gerber to get my car fixed as the insurance recommended it and it is now sept 12th and they said my car would be done by the sept 16 now they have no idea when it will be done and said they are going to add more to the estimate the car went to almost being done to adding more to a already ten thousand dollar estimate it does not make since business since at all how can it almost being done to they don't know it will be finished and how much more do they need to fix they should have totaled it but they swore they can fix they still say they can fix but tic toc if you can't fix it say so but to charge a person more than the car is worth makes me sick... to keep my car this long and then say I think there is is something else wrong with is bad business they handed in the estimate on aug 18 and now I think they are charging more to the storage they said what it would cost and they said when it would be done now I just think they are liars I know one thing my car best be perfect or I will get the cost of my car one way or the other and I will be telling my insurance to stop dealing with this garage worst experience ever and it is still not done no date when it will be done I will be calling state farm and telling them to get my car out of there and find another garage to fix it not worth trouble to go to gerber total bs

Palm Bay Fl. Gerber Collision
Good afternoon,

This is the absolute worst experience dealing with this company in Palm Bay Fl. Matthew Harper is the GM (general manager) and apparently, he likes to make promises and not keep them. I picked up my vehicle around Thanksgiving after it was involved in an accident. I found blemishes in the paint and several of the push pins were missing in the plastic under the fender well. Their paint work was very poor and Matthew told me to come back after the first of the year to get the paint corrected with some buffing and he would remove some dings from my trunk lid that they didn't do the first time after telling them while it was in the shop. I made an appointment 2 to 3 weeks ago to bring it back in today so they could make it right. I dropped off first thing this morning and after calling the girl behind the desk 2 times, she stated that they would not be able to get to today after all and asked if I could come back Wednesday. I was so mad that I couldn't see straight. I said absolutely not, I had my car there today like you told me. She said I'm not sure what to do. I told her I would come pick up my keys and car because I have to work the next day. She handed me the keys and nothing was said. Beware of this location!

I took my car to Gerber Collision in ***, FL *** for a repair after being involved in an accidentI was told that it was going to take no more than days, since they had already ordered the required part for repairs and they had itAfter days I called to find out why it was taking so long, I was informed that they were still waiting for the partI was lied to when they told me they had the partSo after one week I went to get my car only to find that there were dents on two locations including the one on the new back bumper that they just had replacedInstead of fixing my vehicle they put new dents on my carThey acted annoyed and looked at me as if it was nothing since they were smallThe general manager called in and he said to bring the car back once they receive the parts, they had to order the bumper againAfter a few weeks I called since I was not hearing anything from them to check on the partsAfter a few phone calls I was told to bring the car in for repairs on a specific dayI showed up only to find out that they were supposedly still waiting on the partsSo I leftThe next appointment that they made I arrived to find out that the person I talked to was not even there, and the front desk did not have any idea about the scheduled appointmentThis time I was promised by Sabrina at front desk that she will handle the case and she would call meAfter a few weeks I was finally was able to drop the car off for "days"Again no calls after days, dropped by to check on the progressGeneral manager took me to the shop to show me that the dent was fixed, stating "Are you happy now?" No, I was not, since it has been days and they have not even touched the back bumper, which he forgot about completelyAfter one week again I just went and just drove off without a new bumper, but with a dent still visibleI did not trust for them to keep my car any longerThey did not even bother to wash my car before returning to me, it was dirty and smelled like cigarettes insideDuring the whole experience the general manager was very rude and condescending, acted like he was doing me a favorThey "never" called me and updated on the progress nor apologized for the inconvenienceThere are other things that happened during, that it just needs too many words to describe in here

Do NOT take your car to Gerber Collision. This was the worst experience I have ever had with an auto body to the point I am going out of my way to write a review (which I have never done). To summarize my experience in one word – GARBAGE. Below is my whole experience broken down:
Customer Service – There is NONE! From the front office to corporate, everyone who works for this company doesn’t seem to care about the customer or quality of their work. George at the Pittsburgh office didn’t seem to care that my truck wasn’t done right when I went to pick it up the first time. I ended up filing a corporate complaint and NO ONE followed up with me. The lady at the front desk is the only one who was nice and seemed to care.
Workmanship – The paint was over buffed and polished (not sure which) that in the sunlight the paint would turn gray (on a black [redacted]) and you would see swirl marks everywhere. There was paint overspray so the new auto body has to paint my door which wasn’t even part of the accident. The backup sensors were pushed in on the bumper from not being installed right and the bumper was not aligned up correctly. The quarter panel had small dents from the work not being done right. There was white compound all over the [redacted] and they didn’t even detail my car. One of my favorite parts was the taillight wasn’t even screwed in all the way! They had the [redacted] twice and still couldn’t get the job done right. The work was estimated to be done in 7 days and overall this took around 22 days. My [redacted] had to go to another auto body to be completed and done correctly.
Communication – So text messages alerts are awesome until you find out that they are not correct and your car isn’t ready when it says it is. During the second round of trying to fix my [redacted], I had to call them for updates instead of them calling me.
