Van repair work, Had my van in this body shop for 3 Months still not fixed.
This body shop has had my VAN for 3 months for repair still not ready, Keep tell me that part are lost or on back order,or can't find them, Then they say it will be ready March 13-2020, Still no VAN.
For them get my van fixed and fix it right. It has been to long.
Info on this customer's van. 2010 Chev Express 1500 with Explorer Limited SE package.
date of customer's accident : 12/14/2019
Was towed to the Gerber on Atlas Rd. Columbia. It is my understanding that Atlas was under impression Van was going to be a Total loss.
1/9/2020 Was transferred from Atlas Rd to Gerber in Cayce, SC. Our shop reviewed damages was under impression should be a Total loss. Allstate came out and advised due to value it was not going to total. Allstate wrote a supplement on 2/2/2020. and asked shop to do frame & unibody pulls to see if would repair.
... pulls were made and was determined that van would repair. Parts were ordered.
Had mutliple parts delays. main inner structure part @ floor was not received until feb 25th. could not move with side until that part installed 1st.
Explorer van parts were ordered. some avail and some not offered any more. Some we received for interior was wrong mold and would not work. side moldings were not offered anymore, even tried another van molding company. received those and they would not work.
Our shop worked very dillagently to repair Mr. van back to the quality is was even though we had many road blocks.
Mr. picked up his van on March 30th. He was very nice.
After leaving he has had an issue with the speaker system inside having static or ground issues. He has at a Gerber in Wilmington NC to see whats going on. Speakers were not replaced in our repairs. and just the one on the left rear side was removed and re installed. We are still waiting for update on findings. Have attached his survey text as of date. Spoke to Tech working to diagnosis. there is buzz in the front speakers as well as the rear doors at this point they are not sure what is causing. Hope this info helps you with this case. Please advise if anything is needed. Will forward an email to you once I know when speaker problem is taken care of.
