Parents and grand parents buying or shopping for a college fund for your children or grand children, be aware that gerber college fund is a ripe offThere's so many other ways to plan for college and save for college for your children, (I learned that the hard way) do your research and avoid gerber life insurance I am trying to cancel my policies with them because we are relocating, just to find out that all the payments I made for my second child and my nephew are gone down the drain because it hasn't be years yetI can understand that they charge a fee or even take a third of your total payment, but the whole thing that's a ripe offI have two choices keep paying my premium and have my policies worth half of what I put in or cancel it and loose over thousand dollars of my hard earned moneyIt's really disappointing and make me sad that big corporations like gerber feed off people strugglesLike I said earlier do your research look into other options before you even think of gerberAnd by the way they lost my businessAnd I will share it everywhere I can so more people are aware

I started the process of cancelling my policy in July of 2016, and I am still in the process as of December 14, I have still not received my check, and I have had to call/email I don't know how many times to attempt to figure it out
Do not ever call Gerber if you have issues The shortest wait time I received on a phone call was minutes The longest was They offer to call you back when it's your turn, but plans change in that long amount of time I am receiving $2,back and need it as soon as possible, as I am a second year teacher living in ***, *** I have been trying to receive my check for the past months, and it has been the most frustrating and aggravating process I have gone through with any company I would not recommend Gerber to my worst enemy It is so extremely difficult to get anything done, to reach anyone, or to change anything

I would like to make people aware that they may be throwing money away when they purchase life insurance from Gerber life
My mother paid for for a 10,life insurance policy with Gerber life for over years She had a stroke and became disabled, but continued to pay her policy About years later (after her stroke) she was informed that her policy had a clause that stated should she become disabled she would no longer need to pay any premiums We had her doctors fill out a form from Gerber, and submitted the paperwork Gerber has refused to stand by their policy and my mother is distraught as the policy was meant to cover her final expenses
I would caution anyone thinking of doing business with this company They take advantage of people that are ill and I have no tolerance for this type of abuse

I have three policies with Gerber life insuranceI was pleased with the company until I received an offer for increase in coverageI found this offer to be very deceptive as how it was wordedI called customer service for clarification and the representive was giving me sales pitch on how I'm lucky to receive an offer on all three policiesAfter her lengthy explanation I had to ask her if I would be obligated to pay for my existing policy as well as the newI feel that Gerber marketing/reps need to give consumers a clear understanding of what is offered and clarify coverage options directly and not use deceptive sales tactics

I can understand that they charge a fee or even take a third of your total payment, but the whole thing that's a ripe off. It's really disappointing and make me sad that big corporations like gerber feed off people struggles. Like I said earlier do your research look into other options before you even think of gerber. And by the way they lost my business. And I will share it everywhere I can so more people are aware.

They do not pay interest after you have paid premiums for 20 years and cash out the policy for your child.
