Review: I purchased a DEAL OF THE DAY in which I spent $25 for a $50 Value of merchandise to purchase at Geremia Gardens. Initially, I made several attempts to use my certificate at Geremia Gardens. I found that due to their limited hours and my work schedule that I was not able to use my certificate before the promotional value expired. I recently made a concerted effort to get to this business last week planning to at least utilize my $25 face value on my certificate. The merchant would have no part of it. She simply said that she would not accept it. I am having a very difficult time get a refund of the $25 that I paid for this piece of paper as the initial issuing company is no longer contracted by the [redacted] Press. Federal law states that the merchant must honor the certificate for the paid value up to 5 yrs, depending on your state law it could be longer, therefore we do not issue refunds on expired certificates. The Merchant was paid out for this deal already for anything owed to them above their advertising cost, therefore they are the sole owners of the certificate. Nothing prevents the merchant from honoring the certificate; the merchant-only redemption system still recognized expired certificates.Desired Settlement: I want my hard earned and apparently poorly spent money refunded to me ASAP.
