Here at Infiniti of Easton, our Certified Infiniti Technicians have a specific protocol in diagnosing vehicle concernsFor the particular issue that Mr [redacted] brought his vehicle in for, he was informed by his Service Advisor that they would have to perform diagnostics tests in which would determine whether or not the sending units were malfunctioning, as we cannot repair a vehicle based on another service center's diagnosisPrior to any work performed, we have the customer authorize or decline the work that is recommended by our TechniciansIt was communicated verbally and on the multi-point inspection that we "Recommend starting off replacing malfunctioning fuel sending units+diag and retesting, be advised may need combination meter (DTC P0462)"This was presented to Mr [redacted] as the first step in the process of trying to repair the issue- not a guaranteed fixMr [redacted] had the opportunity to either decline or approve the work- he approved and decided to move forward
