Review: In october 2013 I purchased two dresses from Germaines to be shipped to me in Canada before december 13, 2013. One dress was to be cocktail length and the other was a floor length gown. The timing was important as I required time to have the gown hemmed prior to a christmas gala the gown was purchased for. This was discussed with Germaine herself who assured me the dresses would arrive on time for me to have the gown hemmed. The dresses arrived on time as I paid the extra cost to have them sent to me via FedEx. When I opened the package, I had been sent two cocktail length dresses and no gown, I called Germaine's right away. Germaine asked me to take pictures of the dress and email them to her, which I did. She told me she would refund the money and I could send the dress back. I agreed. When I asked her for a FedEx account number she said she wanted the dress sent back to her the cheapest method possible which was regular mail, at my cost. As it was Christmas ( mid December when I received the dresses) I told her I was not comfortable to send such an expensive item through the regular mail as I have personal experience of packages going missing transborder at that time of year. She was unwilling to have it sent back any other way ( would not pay the shipping cost). I told her I would hold the dress until after the christmas mail rush and send it to her in the new year. She was in agreement with that. I mailed the dress back January 10 and she received it the following week. I then received an email saying she would not refund my money as I had held on to the dress too long and because the tag was in the box and not on the dress. She would try to sell this dress in her shop and refund my money at that time. This is not even the dress I purchased! She made the mistake, sent the wrong dress, told me to return it regular post and agreed to have it sent back after the christmas holiday to avoid potential loss at the border. I have sent numerous emails and her only response is she will not refund until she sells the returned dress, the one I never bought! I have told her I will accept either a full refund for that gown or I will take the gown that I paid for. She is unwilling to refund or give me my purchased gown. So I have no gown and no money. I am so very disappointed and upset.Desired Settlement: I want either delivery of the gown that was purchased in October 2013 or a full refund of that dress.
