Germantown Cleaners

Review: I took an expensive dress in to Germantown Cleaners to have the zipper replaced. When I picked the dress up I checked the zipper before I left the store. The workmanship was very poor. The material was wrinkled instead of laying smooth, the seams at the waist did not match and at the top the zipper was higher on one side than the other. The original zipper was not that way. When I tried to nicely point this out to the gentleman who I assume owns the cleaners, all he did was argue with me; telling me it was the manufacturer's fault not his. He never once offered to fix it. I sew and I can recognize a bad zipper placement. When I asked for my money back he very rudely said NO! I did tell him I would be reporting him to the Revdex.com but he just shrugged like he didn't care. As I was leaving the store, I heard him make a nasty comment about me to the other customer who was in the store. When I got the dress home and took another look at it, I don't believe the dress was cleaned either because there is a safety pin still in it that I had forgotten to remove. My experience has been that a really reputable good cleaner will remove pins and metal buttons before they clean a garment to avoid damage. Because of the style and material, I had paid extra to have this done.Desired Settlement: I would like him to return what I paid him to have the dress cleaned and altered and the cleaning bill for the other items I had brought in plus what it will cost to have the dress fixed elsewhere. And, since at this point the dress is ruined, if it cannot be fixed, the price of the dress plus what I paid him to have the dress cleaned and altered.
