I am rejecting this response because:There were no attempts by Mann's to coordinate with the mortar person that we are aware of He never contacted the center as to not being able to coordinate with the other contractor The mortar contractor said that what he was doing had nothing to do with repairing the roof If there was a supposed problem with the mortar a reputable company would have addressed it when they gave the estimate for the original job, not tell the custodian about it after the fact.We paid this company over $28,to have our roof fixed correctly and it never was We have tried to resolve this situation but were continually ignored Our documentation shows that no attempt was made to fix this situation by Mann's Roofing We have no choice but to report this to you so no one else will have to go through this Regards, [redacted]

12/15/ The bottom line to this complaint is that from day when the roof was not fastening to the mortar, your center was advised that the walls needed to be fixedWe have offered several options, both in writing and verbally, to get this correctedThere was no action taken from your end until the grant money was receivedI do understand that money was an issue at that timeWe exhausted many tries and trips to the center to get this resolvedWe feel your frustration due to the time and many trips that we have made over to the centerBut again, it was not a roof issue, it was an issue with the mortar and we did agree to work with the mortar guy, but was never given his contact information in order to be able to do so / [redacted] Style Definitions */

I am rejecting this response because:There were no attempts by Mann's to coordinate with the mortar person that we are aware of. He never contacted the center as to not being able to coordinate with the other contractor. The mortar contractor said that what he was doing had nothing to do with repairing the roof. If there was a supposed problem with the mortar a reputable company would have addressed it when they gave the estimate for the original job, not tell the custodian about it after the fact.We paid this company over $28,to have our roof fixed correctly and it never was. We have tried to resolve this situation but were continually ignored. Our documentation shows that no attempt was made to fix this situation by Mann's Roofing. We have no choice but to report this to you so no one else will have to go through this

I am rejecting this response because:From day one, it was never discussed with the board or myself that there was a problem with the mortar. As I stated before, any reputable company would have addressed this issue at the time of the estimate. After we discovered the roof leaking, it was stated to me that it was the fault of the mortar, not the roof installation. At that time, I was given another estimate by Manns to fix the mortar. The board feels that the job was misrepresented, as after the installation, we were asked to pay more money. There was no reason to inform Manns about the company that was repairing the mortar, as it had nothing to do with the roofing problem. I assumed that the company that repaired the mortar had contacted Manns and found out that they did not. I then contacted Manns and was told that they would be out to fix the problem. I could never get anyone to respond or make an effort to come to the center. The company that fixed Manns installation had no problem with a mortar issue. I am confused by Manns response that they made many attempts to contact the center, as well as many trips to the center. My documentation will show how many times they actually came to the center or called. MrManns told the board that he wanted to resolve the problem, but made no effort to do so

After the installation of a new roof on the *** *** *** *** in September 2011, we received a call that there was a leak in the
roof* went to the center December
to inspect the reported leakWe
prepared and presented a proposal to fix the problem of the exterior walls that
were causing the leak*** advised the maintenance man at the center that the
leak is due to the mortar on the exterior walls that have deteriorated over
timeDue to the severity of the deterioration a solid seal to the termination
bar or the roof was impossible without the exterior walls being fixed***
met with the board in March of and at that time, it was decided that Manns
would be doing the repairs in coordination with a brick layerSeveral attempts
were made to get the name and number of the brick layer but were unsuccessfulWe
were not informed when the man that was fixing the mortar had even started the job
let alone when he finishedWe also made several trips and attempts to access
the roof and each time we were denied the access by the centerAgain, the
issue that they had was not a roofing issue it was an issue
with the exterior wallsNow that the roof is supposed to be fixed by another
company, we feel that we are not responsible for any issues with the
roof from today on
