Gescan A Division of Sonepar Canada Inc

In the process of building a house, I was searching for the best pricing on some particular lights Gescan fit the bill and had the exact lights I wanted on sale I ordered through their website and everything seemed good, but within a day or two I received an e-mail stating that the order could not be completed No reason or explanation, no apology or anything
Turns out their system flagged my transaction because I was using a US credit card but shipping to Canada Fair enough if they want to confirm, but a flat out denial to sell to me seems uncalled for Getting information out of them is like pulling teeth and eventually they offered to let me pay by wire transfer, but who actually does that these days?
I would have expected better and clearer communications, and at least a slight interest in working with me to get the situation resolved They made it pretty clear that they have close to zero interest in me as a customer I went ahead and paid a bit more for the lights somewhere else (a generic online store that seems to have no problem handling foreign credit cards), and will not be turning to Gescan for the rest of my lighting and electrical needs
In conclusion, their pricing seems pretty good (at least for on-sale items), but don't expect a lot of customer support from them
