The Shell gas station/Get 2 Go had $2.75 on the pump, $.10 should have been taken off due to my reward card which the price for gas should have cost me $2.65 per gallon. After pumping my and receiving my receipt, I was charged $2.85 per gallon. I went inside and spoke with the person in charge of the gas pumps and he told me that I was reading the receipt wrong.
Hello ***, Myself Ramit K ,Manager for Shell gas station at 720 E TillMan rd., Fort Wayne.I want to write my perspective for this complaint.When ever customer use reward card at outside pin pad and if customer dont understand how to use that then they ask assistant to our cashier and our clerks are always willing to help their customer . To get benefit for reward card customer should have more than 100 points in their card and message show up on screen when get .10 cents off.And Shell has programmed this in such a way that if customer got rewards then prices do change automatically on pumps and customer get .10 cent off.So in that case either customer could nt use her card on pin pad ,in that case she could ask assistant to our clerk and if she doesn’t have 100 points in Kroger card she was not eligible to get discount. And always message prompt up on screen .And she never ask helped from clerk.Once she pumped the gas ,Sign at pump always display how much price would be per gallon.And she should read price before pumping gas and come inside to ask assistance to our clerk.Once she pumped the gas after that she come inside and asked for discount ,which was not possible for our clerk.As reward card should be used by customer before getting gas.We always take care best care of our customers as much we can But reward they can get only if they got 100 points in Kroger card and should use Kroger card before pumping gas .If they don’t know how to use card We are always ready to help them .ThankyouRamit KManagerShell gas station 720 E Tillman roadFort Wayne,IN46816
I am rejecting this response because:
As stated in my initial compliant, my reward points was used correctly, instead of taking .10 cents off, it added .10 cents and I paid $2.85 instead of $2.65. In which the price for gas on 03/03/2020 at 21:36 hours, V-Power was set at $2.75 before any reward points or discount was added. I have the original receipt and a photo of the price of gas that evening. I am out raged at the responses of the store manager, implying I didn't know how to work the pump and my reward card, to which I have use numerous of times without no help and it was done correctly. If the manager were have just stop and listen to what I was saying when I spoke with him that evening, 03/03/2020, instead of over talking me and insisting that I was reading the receipt wrong, simply omit I was charged incorrectly and refund the over charged to me, I would have viewed the business as fair to their customers. Instead of my current opinion, This store cheat!! It is very clear that this is a normal and common practice of this business because this issue should have been an easy fix and done issue. It is against the law to advertise one price and charge another.
