Company states: This customer had someone with them and looked over the vehicle. We sold this As-Is and it is on the contract. They called 4-5 days later and said there was an issue with the furnace and the roof. You came with your friend and I turned everything on. You made an offer and I sold it...

to you. You signed an As-Is. I haven't had any leakage or any problems with the roof. They did not purchase a cooling off period. This was after a few days they took the trailer home. When they take it home I don't know what occurred and that is why I have them sign and As-Is form and this is not a brand new trailer and this is not a new one.

Review: The son "[redacted]" drove about 3 hrs. near our hometown to "purchase" our used travel trailer. He agreed to $5800 cash, but when it came to giving us the money he wanted to know if he could keep $200 of it to get back home (with wife?? and little boy) for gas and food, and he would overnight us the other $200. HaHa!! Being honest people ourselves we said o.k. He slyly had me sign a handwritten note stating that he had actually paid us $5800 in full of agreed price...., however, my wife hand wrote an I.O.U. and had "[redacted]" sign it. My wife then gets a phone call from "[redacted]" the next day that there is an issue with the bathroom floor in the trailer (to the tune of $1200 to fix a hole in the plywood and replace one water hose!!)) We had him send a video of it. Video was mostly of his face, not much of the trailer, AND COULD WE HELP PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED CUZ MONEY IS TIGHT YA KNOW!!!!His foot went right thru it..Really??? (So many "RED FLAGS")we cleaned the trailer to sell it, there was absolutely no issues with water damage in the bathroom (and the hole isn't even where anyone would stand!! WHAT A SCAMMING PLACE OF BUSINESS. LIKE ALL THE OTHER FACEBOOK POSTS AND THE Revdex.com OTHER COMPLAINTS RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM "GETAWAY RV SALES" IN MANTECA. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL. Remember, your gut feeling is there for a reason, listen to it...Desired Settlement: We just want our $200 that he owes us and have the signed I.O.U. to prove it.

Review: I purchased a 2004 Winnebago from Getaway RV in within the last month. I was guaranteed by [redacted] that "they" go over the RV and make sure everything is working and that I didn't have to worry about a thing! [redacted] said they drove the RV from Fresno and it was perfect. I called [redacted] a couple of days after purchasing it and told her there was a couple of items not working and she told me" how dare you waste my time on these thing and if I wanted to bring it back I could. She actually hung up on. I send [redacted] the following text [redacted] just so we r both clear you are refusing to compensate for any repairs please text me thank you. I have never heard from her again. We have not taken the RV out yet we plan to do so next week. In just cleaning it up and trying things, the radio doesn't work the antenna was broken total cost for repairs $150.00. The hinges on the hood were not adjusted right still waiting on that cost and the air conditioning does not work, getting a price on that tomorrow. We are hoping this is it and we purchased a good RV. I did not like the way [redacted] talked to me she was extremely rude and very forceful, not the Lady I met at the RV lot!Desired Settlement: [redacted] and her husband [redacted] (owners) promised everything worked actually said they said if anything didn't work they had already fixed it. They continually told us we got a great deal! I would like them to pay for the repair cost we have encountered. That is what a guarantee is! Right?

Get Away RV Sales will get you to their lot under false pretenses, tell you endless lies to make a sale, and then will not follow through on any of their promises at the time of sale (even those signed on by them on the Due Bill). I have filed formal complaints with the DMV, Revdex.com, City of Manteca Code Enforcement, the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office's Consumer Protection Division, and notified the local chamber of commerce and newspapers.

Review: [redacted] posted an ad for a 5th. wheel trailer for sale by "owner" on Craig's list. Said the trailer was his "Grandfather's. Was told it was in "like new" condition. Was showing the trailer at an RV lot. Settled on price, then he turned dealer. Although their business license had expired in the Summer. [redacted] had no keys to the trailer. Drove it to an RV repair and I got on the roof with the repairman to see that the roof was wasted and water started spewing out the corner of the trailer. Called [redacted] to let him know what we discovered, he would not accept any responsibility.Desired Settlement: Pay for repair of the roof.

I am rejecting this response because: My husband [redacted] and I first saw an ad on Craig's list trailer for sale "by owner". [redacted] looked at the trailer on December 15th, 2014. On December16th,the Craig's list ad was pulled. I called December 16th to ask if the trailer was still available. [redacted] Davis the owner said it was still available and it is his grandfather's trailer, and he is selling it for him, and it is parked at Getaway RV sales where [redacted] works. December 20th [redacted] and I looked at the trailer, and settled on a price of $9500.00.[redacted] noticed that on the outside grill there was a screw was missing on the hinge, but no other damage was noticed or disclosed by us or by [redacted] .December 22 I went to pay for the trailer-$9500.00.[redacted] said he would be going thru the dealership ,and told me I would be paying tax and license on it- approximately $900.00 more. I paid it and asked for the pink slip, since I thought it was a private sale .He told me no ,we are going thru the dealership . December 23 my neighbor ,[redacted] Woodside and I went to pick up the trailer and took it to [redacted] RV repair ,to have [redacted] inspect it .He informed us the roof was shot and was leaking water. December 23-[redacted] called [redacted] and told him the roof was bad and it would cost at least $5000.00 to fix. [redacted] said, "get a second opinion', because there is nothing wrong with the roof .He said it is not leaking" .[redacted] asked for our money back . Again [redacted] said" get a second opinion" .[redacted] asked [redacted] to call [redacted] and he stated he knew him and would call after the holidays. January 6th-[redacted] towed the trailer to [redacted] RV and called [redacted] ,and asked if he called [redacted]. [redacted] said he left messages, but [redacted] never called back.([redacted] said he had no messages from [redacted]). [redacted] called [redacted] in my presence and told [redacted] of the damage .[redacted] said he had the trailer checked out and knew of the damage. He told [redacted] that [redacted] had checked out the trailer for 2 days and [redacted] knew of the damage, and it was an "as is" sale. [redacted] and I knew of no damage other than the screw missing on the grill. January 6th- [redacted] called back and told [redacted] that he had shown our friend [redacted] the crack in front of the trailer and [redacted] asked about the broken antennae. [redacted] asked who had inspected the trailer and [redacted] said he had. [redacted] stated that then [redacted] must had known of the damage to the roof .[redacted] told [redacted] that "you knew of the crack in front of the trailer and the water trapped inside'. none of this was disclosed to [redacted] or myself .Once again [redacted] said "it was an as is and we knew of all the damage ".Once again [redacted] asked for our money back ,or requested [redacted] to help with the repair cost. Otherwise we would proceed with complaints to DMV, Revdex.com, and Code enforcement of the city of Manteca [redacted] said " go ahead ". When I called the city of Manteca code enforcement they informed me the business license had expired in June of 2014.I think it is important to mention here that there was no documentation taped to any window, or a PDI checkoff list .In conclusion you can see by the timeline I have provided that we called [redacted] the same day we picked up the trailer and informed him of the damage.
