Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 19, 2015/11/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Unfortunately I will have to say no to him being able to finish up. I gave him 5 months to finish a job that should have taken 2 to 3 weeks. I contacted him almost every day to ask if he would be coming to finish up and got excuse after excuse or no response at all. I can't see this time being any different. There are other reasons why I don't believe the job will get finished up. First of all, I agree there is not that much siding, soffit and fascia to finish. However I am not paying him one more penny for any of the work to be completed. I don't believe he will have the funds available to complete the job. I have paid him in full for a job that was not finished. It's not only finishing what he didn't complete. It's also fixing what is wrong with the original work he has done. That amount is quite a bit of money in itself. That will be an additional cost for him and again I don't think he will be able to fund that. I don't trust his word nor do I trust him. I had several things missing from my house while they were working on my project and come to find out, he informed me that his employee stole from another one of his clients. I filed a police report and unfortunately found out other information that was disturbing to me and so quite honestly I prefer to end all association with him at this time.

Job was in process for 9 months. Job should have been completed in approximately 2 months. Job was abandoned. Architect's plans were not followed. The roof trusses were incorrect. These trusses blocked an existing window. The plans provided by the architect were not followed in terms of the length of the room, the height of the ceilings, the measurement of the roof trusses, the placement of the foundation and the window and door framing. The contract was signed in [redacted] of 2014. The job was abandoned [redacted] 2015.Desired SettlementA second contractor had to be hired to at least get the job weather tight and fix the mistakes. Refund to offset the cost of paying a second contractor [redacted] to get the project weather tight and fix the problems with the job. Refund is requested to offset these costs.
