Get Physical! Software

Review: I purchased Get Physical software for my Martial Arts and Fitness business. I had purchased a previous version of this software several years ago so when I tried importing records from the older version into the newer version, it did not work. I am an Automation Integration Specialist, so I have a little better understanding of how to "import data", than the average person. I even had a co-worker, who is an Information Technology Specialist, try and import the data, but it would not work.I purchased the new software because of the discontinuance of support for [redacted], so I had to purchase a new computer, in which I chose [redacted] as the operating system. Prior to purchasing the software, I checked with the Tech Support of Get Physcial Software to insure that this software was compatible with [redacted], which I was told that it was.I paid approximately $950 for this new software. Because the import feature did not work, I currently have to input my student information into two separate computers, two separate times, making for extra work. This is extra time that I do not have!Because the new software does not work properly, I also have to maintain the software and my students information on my old computer that has the old version installed on it. At first I thought that I may not have been understanding how to use the new software and that over time, I would learn to use it correctly, but the more I used the software, the more "bugs" I encountered.When I contacted the company in regard to my software not working, their response was: "HiYou will be able to import 100% of your 12.4 data into the 13 version as far as we know (it is not yet released).Regards,Support"I had sent a previous email that explained to them that when I tried "checking out" a student upon departing the studio, it "checked out" the person at the bottom of the "Attendance Roster". It wasn't even the person that I was trying to "check out".This was their response:"HiWe can send you the new 13 version that will have a different result when checking someone out.When it is released, you would only pay for shipping and handling.Regards,Support"I should not have to pay for shipping and handling, because what I have received isn't even working! I just want my money back and I will continue to use the old software and will look for another software to purchase.When I purchased the intial version of the software a few years ago, I also purchased keytags that are given to new students when they pay and sign up for a class. The older keytags had a 5-alphanumberic barcode located on the back that when upon checking in, the student would scan their barcode, it was read, and the screen would show them as "being checked in" and tell them if they were due to pay.I had purchased over 500 of these "5-alphanumeric" barcoded keytags, which will no longer work on the new software. The new software now requires an 8-alphanumeric barcode. When I purchased the older version, I had purchased over 300 of these 5-alphanumeric keytags. I have some keytags left over from a recent purchase, and have had to issue these to all students who have old key tags, for they will no longer work on the new software. I have used up the remainder of my "new" spare keytags, replacing them to be used on the new software, that doesn't even work. Had I known, I would have left the students keep their old key tags and continue to use them on the old system, because that is what I am ending up having to use.I sent Get Physical Software an email this past Friday, 30 May, asking for a refund and this is the response I have received so far (the bottom half is my email to them requesting a refund): "HiDo you have more than 1 copy of the program file (for 12.4) on the computer?Please do a search on the word PROGRAM and see if so, and if so please remove the other copies from your computer.On some PC's it has been reported that multiple program copies have caused confusion of data, and removing the extra copies seems to return the issue to normal.Regards,Support-----Original Message-----From: [redacted] A Sent: Friday, May 30, 2014 4:00 PMTo: [redacted]Subject: Kicksoft I request a refund on my software.I am very unhappy with this Get Physical software.I found another bug in your software that removes students out of the attendance roster unexpectedly.Please refund my money and I will return you software.Thank you[redacted]"I believe this Company is very unprofessional and I want my money back!Desired Settlement: I would just like my money returned. Upgrades are sold on a non refund basis per the policy on our website.

This CM is a customer since 2007. We are sorry she does not like our new upgrade, but we have thousands of customers who are highly satisfied with the new upgrade.

The custom key tags this customer purchased work with both our older and newer versions.

As we would to like to keep this customer long term we can offer her a free upgrade to our new version 13.0, which should be available in approximately 60 days.

We can also offer the CM a 50% discount on any reorder of key tag up a $500.00 value.
