*** L*** II came in to our store to purchase an ARMOD/Battery tube and intended to use it for a purpose for which the tube is not designedWe advised against this use and attempted to sell him a regulated battery
for the purpose he wantedMods/Custom tubes require a high degree of expertise from the end user to specifically design/put together the components necessary to achieve specific resultsMODS can be extremely dangerous in inexperienced hands and can cause serious injury when improperly designed with custom parts, or used inappropriately for the parts selectedDespite our warnings and strong advice towards a regulated battery, *** insisted that he knew what he was doing, and purchased the equipmentWhen *** returned the next day he stated that the tube did not function correctly and would heat up when he could get it to function, and believed his battery was defectiveHe never asked for a refund, we do have signs posted that all mod sales are finalI specifically asked *** what would make him happy, and he responded that he would like the battery replacedWe gave him a new battery, he thanked us and leftWe received notice the following day that *** filed a complaint that eveningI contacted *** he stated that he had tried different methods of inserting the battery to change polarity and had accidentally shorted the battery against the tube
Polarity is determined by the custom build of your atomizer, not by guessingDespite the fact that *** has damaged the battery, and the fact that we have posted signs concerning the mods, we offered to refund his purchase out of concern for the customer's safety
We gave him a full refund for his mod and battery purchaseUpon closer inspection of we mod, we found it had a safety feature to prevent accidental firing of the modThe push switch was a two-stage switchThe mod and battery function perfectly
