Review: Brung my car in with two issues. Th car was overheating and it was stalling. He checked the car and told me it would be about $520. I told him I had limited funds and not to do anything extra without notifying me. He said ok. 2 days later he called me and told me the car was ready and the price was now $720. When I confronted him about the extra money($200), he jokingly replied, " I thought u said unlimited funds" and he laughed. I needed my car for work so I had to pay to get it back. While he was pulling the car out of the work bay, the car stalled 3 different times in a period of ten minutes. He said let me check some things, and after about a half hour of tinkering he tells me "no codes came up so I took a guess and fixed the issues I could see." So I asked him why did u tell me the car was ready if the stalling wasnt addressed and charged me $200 extra than u quoted me for issues that obviously werent the problem. So after about 20 minutes of arguing he tells me that he fixed all the issues with the overheating and that he couldnt really address the stalling because no codes came up. So I said if u couldnt address it why didnt u tell me that before I came to get the car? He told me the car was ready and I could pick it up so I assumed it was fixed. It wasnt until I came to pick it up and the car stalled again that he told me that there are some other issues that might fix the stalling and it was gonna be more money. I paid $720 to get the overheating and stalling fixed (as indicated on the bill) and it wasnt fixed, and now he wants more money to fix the things I already paid for. I would like it if you could help me to get my car fixed that I already paid for or a partial refund for services not rendered. I also intend to contact the nys motor vehicle division of vehicle safety and the dept of consumer affairs about this issue.
