Gfk Trailer Sales Reviews (1)

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Re: ID [redacted] Before I had placed my order with GFK Trailer Sales I had expressed my concern to Paul L [redacted] about the trailer being pulled from Oklahoma to Montana as I thought it would be hauled on a trailer I was assured just as his response has been once again that that is how he takes delivery of his trailers, to have someone pull them and there has never been a problem Just because there has never been a problem in the past does not mean there never could be one It was early in the morning when I picked up the trailer and I looked at the trailer for the custom parts that I had ordered but I did not inspect every inch of the trailer as I should not have had toPaul had assured me that he had already inspected the trailer before I got there and said everything was fine Paul did not have all the paperwork ready so I spent most of the time inside waiting for him; I had a long drive and wanted to get on the road The trailer looked fine except for the window that I had ordered in between the tack room and the horses so that their line of vision wouldn’t be stopped by looking at a wall, thus I never would have ordered a tinted window as it isn’t any different than a wall; it should have been clear and Paul did not relay this to the manufacturer I did not inspect the fenders nor the front for gravel damage as that is something one would not think to look for as it should never happen that the trailer is taken off the pavement and I was assured by Paul of such when I voiced my initial concernJust as Paul stated in his response he inspects the trailers “on all the points that are normally checked” so the fenders and front he may not have inspected; he either seen the damage or didn’t but he did say he washed the trailer so I would think the damage would have been apparent There was no gravel at all on my way home and the amount of gravel damage is extensive such that whomever pulled the trailer from Oklahoma to Montana took it on several miles of gravel at high speed and most likely did not have mud flaps on the vehicle I purchased a new trailer from GFK Trailers not one that should have had major gravel damage and one I had to pay to repair an axle on and tighten loose beringsFurthermore I emailed Paul shortly after I left his dealership while on the road stating that the trailer was not traveling as it should it was wobbling like there was an issue with an axle He was quick to suggest that it was my truck Once home I had my truck checked and there was nothing wrong so I took the trailer to Standens, a company that specializes in axles to be inspected and they confirmed that the axel was majorly out of alignment and that whomever pulled the trailer had most likely hit something This further confirms that whomever pulled the trailer from Oklahoma to Montana abused the trailer by taking it onto gravel and pulled it at high speeds and hit something With respect to contacting the manufacturer, Hart Trailers about this matter, I did contact them as Paul requested but I was aware that it is common sense that this is not their responsibility As expected they stated that delivery is not their responsibility as once the trailer leaves the manufacturer it is the dealers responsibility as the dealer takes ownership at this point and arranges delivery It is also the dealers responsibility to deal initially with the manufacturer on manufacturer defects, which Paul once again would not deal with and once again informed me to deal directly with the manufacturer; whereas the dealership in Alberta, Canada certainly does deal with the manufacturer The dealership in Alberta, Canada did look at the trailer and couldn’t believe not only the condition of the trailer with respect to the gravel damage and that there had been axle damage, but all the deficiencies with the rest of the trailer from the manufacturer The dealership said had I ordered the trailer from them they would have returned the trailer as unacceptable on all accounts and ordered a new one I purchased a brand new trailer which looks like it has been on thousands of miles of gravel roads and does not pull like a new trailer If Paul truly was not aware of the gravel damage, which I find hard to believe as he washed the trailer and should have noticed the damage; if he truly was not aware of the damage, he is putting his future customers trailers at risk as that particular driver that pulled my trailer definitely went on gravel for a long distance at a fast pace and hit something If anyone has the technology to hone in on the picture that was attached to this file of the trailer taken at GFK Trailer Sales we would be able to see the gravel damage on the front and the fender Sincerely, [redacted]
